Is it me or does the regression of Jayvon Graves this year has been a big part of the story w this team. There was talk of Mac player of the year before season started. He consistently looks lost out there, shooting percentage way down, defense is subpar, shooting 50% from free throw line, turns ball over way too much, and can’t close at all, ever. For a senior with so much experience he’s just been a bust this year no other way to say it unless he has a big turnaround fast.

100% regarding Preston. I was thinking exact same thing. Preston not a great defender and over aggressive. Was shocked they kept him in game with 8 minutes left. Boals probably knew Whitesell can’t coach and would not try to attack him. He should have paid for that mistake but nope, no strategy whatsoever. Just typical. Whitesell has to also teach these guys to shoot free throws. Ohio barely missing while we’re lucky if we get 1 of 2 every time at the line. Besides Segu, no one a consistent ft shooter.

Completely agree. Don’t blame Segu at all in that situation he had to throw up shot at that point. But it was a 1 point game, they didn’t need a 3. They had plenty of time over 10 seconds left and the fact they weren’t prepped properly for that situation was clear. Frustrating watching these games and knowing they will blow the game at the end even when they took the lead..

I would take Bobby back in a heartbeat!! He wouldn’t tolerate this garbage efforts.

Remember when we had one of the longest winning streaks at home in the country?? It wasn’t that long ago, but it feels like an eternity with the lack of pride and effort on home court. Ohio not good was not impressed w then it was just our lack of execution once again.

This team has no one that can finish either I mean they got the miss and rebound with 10 seconds and the best they can do is a deep contested 3 in a 1 point game. Its too painful to watch..

Are you $&@@& kidding me. Over the cylinder horrible call. Then we have a easy fast break and they call shot clock violation. Are we playing on the road? Mac refs are a complete joke they change the game it’s redic. We are bad enough without there horrible officiating..

Horrible first half. The officiating is horrible, basically letting the Ohio players make the calls and they are flopping also. Brewton can’t shoot and that’s his game. Ohio just wants to win more and it’s showing.

I agree with lot of the posts here. This is completely unacceptable the performance this year and Whitesell is completely killing the momentum we built this last 5 years. This team is underachieving to a whole new level. Graves I hate to say it but is having a terrible year, he looks completely lost, is a turnover machine, can’t hit a shot, not a good defender and just looks like he honestly doesn’t want to even play. We have zero depth. Let’s be honest with ourselves a lot of busts on the recruiting trail here: Nickleberry, Hardnett, Skogman, and the 2 kids who they recruited this past year. Haven’t seen much from Brewton yet, but I have some hope for him. Even with that I think we have the talent to win the conference with core of Mballa, Jeenathan and Segu. Problem is you have to win 3 games in a row come tournament time I don’t see that happening w this group they don’t have the fire that Oats forced the players to have to want to win..

They were up 6 with 2 minutes left. Kent didn’t even hit a shot or anything. Complete mismanagement and stupidity in crunch time. It falls on the coach no doubt about it. Then you have plenty of time and chuck up a 3 in a one point game. Complete collapse in IQ down the stretch of game and not just in the last possession in the multiple possessions before that also...

He’s 4th option on this team, I’m picking Mballa, Williams, and Segu over him w game on the line, he’s been that bad...

I just wasted 2 hours of my life watching this pathetic performance. No positives to take out if this game. They completely mismanaged a 6 point lead with 2 minutes left. How do you blow that without Kent even hitting any shots!!!

Mballa just missed a wide open dunk w no one even there to end the half. Fire Whitesell and Allnut, all that momentum we built and now this trash we have to see. Truthfully the recruiting has taken a slide also, not much talent on this team once you get past Mballa and Jeenathan..

I can’t watch this it’s not basketball. Graves should be benched period, he can’t hit a wide open shot, he passed up a wide open dunk just to turn the ball over, he is slow on defense. He’s not the only one but wow this is pathetic..

Game is over before it started. No effort, I’m tired of Graves he stinks, getting owned by this Nuga guys who just outclassing him. Funny how graves was considering draft, couldn’t be having a worse senior year than him. Whitesell has nothing I can’t even watch this team...

Yeah he will get this year and definitely next year also. Next year still have a good team w jeenathan/Segu/mballa/brewton. It’s the year after that which is scary. Don’t see anyone on this team right now to maintain level of play we used to. Def a rebuild likely in 22-23 season..

Yeah graves missing layups and open 3s down the stretch. That’s a common theme also.
