Did you have someone in mind or something specific you were looking for? Just curious. I’m certainly open minded about options, but I’m ready to throw my support behind whomever it is to keep our train rolling.

Feels like a solid selection with tremendous upside. Hopefully he’s got donor charisma too

I’m actually pleased with an O or D coordinator from a P5 program, especially the Big10 since it’s a similar recruiting area we predominately look at. I was concerned we were going to end up with a lower level coach or a band aid choice to stop the bleeding. I also like the mid-30’s energy guys to get our existing players excited and hopefully keep us at our level and improve upon it (MAC CHAMPIONSHIP anyone?)

The new coach has some re-recruiting to do

Big10 assistant in a top seat should be attractive to our portal guys. Stay where you know and learn from someone that has coached and played with the big dogs. Very impressed if these are our short list guys. I guess the guy at Sweet Home blew the interview.

I’m hopeful of that too. I works love someone to be named soon to try to stem the bleeding, but I prefer the right hire fit sustained success versus band aiding this year and getting screwed in the long run with a bad hire. Hopefully Alnutt is getting good interest from quality guys that our transfer believe in the vision of.

Should be a great year for Buffalo and Kansas. What a freaking mess.

That's how college football works apparently. Kansas should have tagged an interim for the year after their self-made debacle, chalk it up as yet another lost season for them and then hired after the season like a normal program.

Plus that is relatively local for him, so maybe that will help him a bit as well. We will see how it plays out, just disappointing for these guys if they are not provided true information by people trying to make a buck.

Hopefully Patterson can stick, shame it’s with that team. Very sad that these young men get such poor advise.

Imagine that. What a shitshow. Hopefully our guys will play with a chip on their shoulder and something Leopold couldn’t do, win a conference championship. I wish him the best of luck like the rest of the last 7 coaches. Even Miles and his dishonorable program couldn’t win there. At least LL family is set, which is what college football is all about.

If he averages 6 wins I’ll be impressed. This year is a loss, 3-4, wins top end. We will see. They are on the hook for 6 years, good for lance and his agents. At least make them pay 3 years after you get fired.

One more guard would be nice and this is like getting a freshman with a little polish from a good basketball program. Hopefully he sees the opportunity. With him and the 3 signed so far, this could be a special group like Rondo/Jeenathan. Go Bulls!

Regardless of the outcome, Kansas is a trainwreck and completely screwed this up. To bring in a current head coach is just in poor taste all around, but I guess with big time football who cares, just do what you need to do for yourself. Hopefully Lance stays this year and gets an offer from a real school next year and we find a solid assistant on the rise.

Actual Student Athlete, amazing isn’t it? I believe Fagen is also finalizing his masters. If nothing else they should be role models for the young guys to work hard on the court and the classroom.

Grave tried that, luckily for him he got good advise and came back. Hopefully he can have a nice overseas career.

Don't shortchange what he brings in practice. You know he works his butt off and will push and challenge these guys to get better. Almost another assistant coach in uniform. I like it! Plus I believe his scholarship doesn't count against our total count.

Their recruiting team is really doing well with not only the high school kids, 3 star +, but also with grad transfers, etc. Really impressed with the quality they are getting. That will make for good competition in practice and higher execution come game time. Go Bulls!!
