Absolutely dead on about Stony Brook. There is also almost no interest in college athletics in the New York City area. Few mentions about Army and Rutgers football. As for hoops, few mentions beyond occasional St. John's, Seton Hall and Rutgers. With nine local professional teams there is little space for air time or print for college athletics.

I agree.

Are you donating to the track issue?
-
No but if you want one call athletics and talk.

A large public flagship university playing FBS football. UB was described as a Big Ten school in the late 1990s by President Greiner on that basis alone.

For all of you who hate the track around the football field, here is an example of someone stepping up to do something about removing a track. https://goracers.com/news/2021/1/19/football-racers-announces-six-figure-gift-for-clear-the-track-campaign.aspx So if you do not want the track around the field, do something. If not stop complaining.

Lefebvre to transfer portal
BrooklynBull replied to RecoveringHillbilly's topic in Buffalo Bulls Football
Lamonte Bearden fan. -
Very expensive to play there, especially if it snows before the game, like the last time.
-
A lot of those going into the portal to move up in conference for "better competition" may not go. They may be required to sit a year, The NCAA has delayed its vote on one time transfers being allowed to play immediately. Their choice will be to stay where they are and play or sit a year and possibly never really play again. I do not think this is an issue for graduate transfers.

UB actually finished 25th in the Coaches Poll as well. CBS had the poll listed with updated records for Alabama and Ohio State, but it was still the poll from before the bowl games.

Finished the season 25th in the AP poll. https://www.cbssports.com/college-football/rankings/ap/ 34th in the Coaches' Poll (Ball State 30th) https://www.cbssports.com/college-football/rankings/coaches/

Eagles sign Tyree Jackson to a futures contract as a tight end. https://ubbulls.com/news/2021/1/7/football-former-bull-tyree-jackson-signs-with-the-philadelphia-eagles.aspx

It was win or go home. He lost the conference championship game, so he was gone. Never should have let his contract get to where he was in a last year. https://www.herald-dispatch.com/sports/chuck-landon-not-extending-docs-pact-was-right-move/article_48396de5-31f2-5ca4-93ec-b5e3108b0d30.html

I do not see this as him opting for the draft. This was his 5th year. After the Bahamas Bowl he knew he had only one year left. As much as many people would like college to last forever, he has done his 5 years and is done. Hopefully with his degree. In my mind someone opting for the draft is someone who has pre-COVID eligibility left. Nunn did not.

Patterson First Team All-American
BrooklynBull replied to BrooklynBull's topic in Buffalo Bulls Football
I have only one hope for Patterson before he decides t stay or come out. I hope that he talks to Mack and Jackson. One came back and one did not. He should talk to both hear what the were both being told by whomever they were listening to pre-draft and what ultimately led to their decisions. Also remember that Quinn "re-recruited" Mack after the 2012 season. -
@admin See comments on editing. Also I think the ability to do things will vary from user to user. Some can edit, some can post with a twitter link and have the tweet appear and some cannot react to a comment.

Amends for what? He has nothing to make amends for.

Not on TV. She appeared to be very intense just like Stephanie Reid against her. One of my rivalries on the court to watch. Two players who love the game and went at each other hard and with what appeared to be mutual respect for each other.

Jaret Patterson was named to the first team All-American team as selected by USA Today. https://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/ncaaf/2020/12/23/alabamas-devonta-smith-mac-jones-head-usa-today-all-american-team/4013518001/

You can edit your posts, at least on a computer as opposed to a phone, by clicking the three dots in the upper right corner of the post. Still tying to figure out how to get a link to a tweet to show the tweet rather than just the link. That no longer works for me along with liking a post.
