Looking for the team to bring in at least 2 athletic 6”2+ posts from the portal that can rebound, defend and sprint out in transition. Rebounding was the glaring problem that good teams exposed which was largely due to the lack of size. Watching Rana box out and get called for the foul in the Kent game was it for me. I hope no one goes in the portal🤞🤘

That was borderline in that time and situation you just don’t make that call. But what a ride excited for next year. Would like to see an experienced post and more bench depth that can up scoring options. I’m confident the staff will be working with all the freshmen to further there development because this team is not sneaking up on anyone in the MAC next year. 🤘

Maybe in 3-5yrs with the media and financial backing of ESPN it will surpass WNIT. But when you have the #1 seed decline the invite and you place them randomly with JMU they are not there yet...

The NCAA has finally after 30yrs fully funded a secondary women's tournament which is the WBIT, this is WBIT inaugural tournament. As far as prestige there is no comparison the WNIT has 30yrs of history with many great moments. The WNIT finals will be at the Jayhawks arena Allen Fieldhouse. Depending on the seeding hoping they get a few home games🤘

Tough game too much size from Kent. There is nothing to be disappointed about this season at all. Runner up year 2 with an experienced roster to build off UB women’s basketball is going to be a problem for a while. I hope the get a WNIT or WBIT invite.

That kid is a leader!! At every full timeout while BB and staff game planed before coming back to the bench she had everyone locked in. If you thought BB had some language should’ve heard her talk about boxing out and rebounding🤣

Realistically 7+ conference wins would be a successful season with the current state of the roster.

Why are you limiting to conference only stats? The only criteria for award is be a eligible freshman, nominated and voted by the coaches. KLW is top 20 in almost every category except 3pt shooting. Not the ending they wanted but all in all this was a successful season. They are +3 in conference play and +5 overall with the 4th seed in year #2. I think preseason they were picked to finish 9th or 10th. KLW is the clear favorite for MAC FOY and Watson #5 scorer in the country should be POY. If not for KLW, Davis has a case for FOY but both should be on the MAC all freshman team and second and third all conference respectively. Watson is a clear first team candidate.

This is an old fashioned beat down on senior day no less. I’m sure the coaches and players will use this as fuel to prep for BG in Cleveland.

That was a winnable game missed an opportunity to ruin Kent St. senior night. Lots of emotions in the first 3min of the game UB did not match the energy until the 6min mark. Too many missed contested layup opportunities. Not enough hight to deal with Kents front court. They have not learned how to beat the top 3 yet but they are very close.

It was good seeing the team executing half court sets, watching Davis or KLW trigger from the elbows taking and making 12-15 ft jumpers extending BG creating space for back door, pin down actions or drive kick actions. The made 3s created even more space although they missed more than a few layups the fact remains development and progress has been made. Not sure who on staff is responsible for back court defense but they may need a raise. They ran a clinic on how to defend a guard dominate team that shoots above average from 3. The communication as they switched everything, getting that top foot up hedging BG guards from getting down hill while still having hands up to contest was great to watch. Held them to 28% (7/25) 3PT and 38% overall from the field which would have been more impressive if the front court could have slowed down Porter 10/10 night. Who would have thought they had chance to finish with 10+ conference wins locked in for Cleveland🤘

20pt night against BG secures spot in Cleveland with the road win. She is at 600pts with three games left against Kent St. Ball St. and CMU. She has a chance of finishing 4th place during senior night against Ball St.

You missed a defensive gem played by the backcourt, guards switched and contested everything. BG had a clear advantage w/Porter too strong/physical for our frontcourt ate there lunch. The refs let a lot go one sided at one point calls were 2:1 BG before the final 5min of game. The team converted 14/16FTs which was a problem earlier in the year. Team has locked a spot in Cleveland with he win time to make reservations🤘

Great way to close out a crappy called 3qt. Its clear we are out matched in the post, the guards can not help to hard and give up uncontested 3s on the ball reversal. Close them out🤘
