+5 at half is actually really good considering we are 4-6 on the road this year. Having scoring come from other players besides Watson is real good. Davis was having a good 1st qt until the second foul. I think Burke will look to get more paint touches/points continue to defend that 3pt line play all around solid defense.

Refs are not calling the same hand checking against BG at all.

I get it but athletic program success aside I think the point I was trying to make is, there is no reason based on comparable budget that UB should not have a similar matured collective/NIL program compared to UMass.The UMass AD approach to this new landscape is completely different from what Alnutt has taken with the same level of budgeted resources. At the end of the day I want UB competing and winning conference championships🤘🏽

Huge fan of Frank Martin heck of a coach and serious recruiter. He took University of South Carolina to final 4 during his 10yrs there. This is his second year at UMass and already +2 in conference play. His style of play and overall experience MAC MBB is on notice when they officially join. The good thing though he has reset the market for MAC MBB coaches and staff salaries.

Ok that was the most bipolar quarter I have seen in while pretty sure Burke is having some strong words at half.

What a first quarter by Davis! The ball movement is great to see for sure.

Wow this is an absolute game changer! There should be no excuse for Alnutt not coordinating in some capacity either directly or indirectly with every booster, corporate sponsor, alumni and donor to establish a viable NIL program for every UB sport. His goal should be complete domination of UB athletics in the MAC period. That means giving coaches the tools to get players to win, there is no more excuses for not having a NIL as part of recruiting to UB.

Disappointing loss the defense picked up pretty much the second quarter forward. The lack of offensive production from Watson 7-26 26% and Rana 2-8 25% was the game. So many times the ball was in the cylinder but just rimmed out just one of those shootings nights. The opposite can be said for two freshmen Davis 4-7 57% another double double 11pts 12reb and Lewis-Williams 7-13 53% 14pts. Just have to be better offensively.

Way too many turnovers, missed layups and defensive lapses. Watson looks healthy shots just not dropping. KLW is having another good game. Burke has made good half time adjustments all year expect the same tonight

Have not seen any news about the availability of Watson since the Akron game hope she is fully recovered. As a team they play way better at home than on the road.

At this point looking to see basic individual and team improvements that can built on.

I agree would rather get her healthy and ready for next Saturday.

UT, Ohio,BG,Ball St all have collectives three of which played in bowl games. Confused? My comments was about the AD/President working to establish collectives to bring UB athletics on par w/the rest of the MAC in regards to NIL which as of today its not. Not sure why your comments on WBB but priority should be the football team specifically getting Lembo QB and DL help...

Oh come on "hyper-obsessed" make it sound like a bad thing. Coaches have to be were the recruits are use the tools available to up lift the programs brand. Lets be real the program needs it, good content brings more interest hopeful more fans and excitement. Besides Pete has been doing the exact same thing since he took over. If Burke is taking time to delve into forums and not 100% focused on the program then she is not the coach UB needs and should be let go immediately. As far as Watson graduating lets enjoy the ride until its over🤘

By affiliate you mean support the program by going to the games and express an opinion here and there then absolutely. Besides since when did yelling at a player for blowing an assignment become taboo??

Kind of disagree it was totally called for. Did you see how attentive the other players were after that? The message was not just for Hattie prior to that SM was able to get a few offensive rebounds and scores because poor box outs or close outs. Clearly message received by the team which did a better job defensively and Hattie was back in the game after a min or two having a great game. If having Burke verbally undress a player to get the team to re focus worth it!🤘

Watson is currently 4th in country in scoring 24.6 hope she can add to that today with a great game. After seeing how we handled the size and athleticism of Miami and EMU I have confidence in our players to negate that advantage and execute Burke's game plan. I think our back court has the advantage, SM does not have the size or speed to disrupt Watson. Also looks to be the type of game Davis/Rana and/or KLW could excel. Last game they were locked in defensively communicating well but were very disjointed and sloppy offensively playing down. With this being a home game I don't see them having that problem and wining by +10🤘
