  1. Nope. They pay the Bulls to play the dome. No return game ever. SU makes too much in home games to ever make going on the road with it. But there are other name programs UB could use a game in KBC as a carrot. Pitt, Penn State, WVU, St. John's, etc.
  2. I was at the last Big 4 event and it drew 5K maybe. (We lost to Canisius that day.) A tournament would be great but it would need some marquee programs to get people excited. But who can predict when you'll be as good as we are now? That's why I'm asking aloud if something could be put together now. And @BrooklynBull I know the building isn't free but was hoping the Pegulas could offer a one-time deal to test the waters. UB gets admission, Pegulas get parking/concessions.
  3. Eh, I thought it was a fair assessment. We don't have a lot of tradition and the city has an undeserved rep. But it's still a region with a million+ people with a lot more options than Mt. Pleasant MI. But overall, UB belongs more in a conference like the AAC than the MAC.
  4. That's what I'm thinking. Next year we may not be this good so doing it now while interest is rising needs to happen. No idea how much it would cost to use KBC or if the Pegulas would do UB a favor and work something out. Should be easy enough to put people who already bought tickets at Alumni in good seats at KBC. How about making all of the 300 seats $10 GA?
  5. Let's say UB is still unbeaten in MAC play late in the season. There have been several sellouts at Alumni already. ADMA needs to raise revenue for another Oats extension after the season. Would it make sense to play a game or two at Key Bank Center in hopes of getting 8-10 even 12K attendance? More fans, more revenue, maybe an indication to Nate Oats that Buffalo basketball can reach the next level of community support and be worth sticking around for?
  6. Tyree leaving I could see. But when other top players want out too it makes me wonder about what's going on.
  7. I thought of that place too. It's a long walk from Koessler. I was going to take Metro rail from UB. How about after game?
  8. Time to take the Marquette loss out on the Golden Gimps.
  9. Any chance he can transfer back from Murray State?
  10. I don't know about Slomba's but the Cassidy's on Main and Amherst closed decades ago. Neither are walking distance to Canisius.
  11. Me + 1. Sec 6, Row K. Never been to that high school gym before. I'd suggest a pre-game party but there is a disturbing lack of watering holes anywhere near that campus. Maybe a victory toast after?
  12. If we had to lose one of these games, better Marquette than Syracuse.
  13. I love how they clawed back to take the lead and never gave it up.
  14. Here we are 3 days out and there's like nothing. I know, basketball is the THE story right now, but still. Here's my take. This team has nothing to lose by playing aggressive. UAB demolished NIU by playing our game, big throws, fast offense. Except they never let up. We have weapons. Make full use of them. Play like you're dictating the game. There is no game after this. Go out with a win.
  15. Oh that would be sweet. We really do belong (profile-wise anyway) in the B1G10.
  16. According to Ticketmaster there is one single reserved seat left. No idea how many GA are left. I probably wouldn't wait to get tickets.
  17. I'd like to ask that everyone with a Twitter account spend the next 24 hours sending the #BeatCuse hashtag to @hsimon62, @jeremyWGR and @SalSports. If you want WGR to talk up the UB/Syracuse game Tuesday, and you want to poke Jeremy White and Sal Capaccio, two Syracuse grads at WGR, we need to flood their Twitter feeds with #BeatCuse. Do it now. Do it often.

  19. I think Buffalo can set a trend for good mid- majors. Get Nevada on the phone. Furman too. Reach out to the teams in the same boat as us.
  20. Too bad it doesn't sound loud on TV. I don't think they set up a crowd mic
