Sheesh. You guys are tough on Segu and Williams. They are putting it together in their first year of D1 ball. Both have had spurts of really good play. They will be great next year.
Anyone in the MAC can beat anyone on any given night. Really good teams lose in conference, esp on the road, because teams know each other so well and can gameplan. Plus Ohio had nothing to lose. Much different feeling as a player when you really can't lose the game. UB tense at times and it showed.
Agreed: now let's get back to the home crowd and finish the season strong.
Glad to see Harris get going.
Winning on the road in March isn't easy. Tired legs, travel, etc. Gotta love this year. 27-3, baby!
We will be fine next year. Definitely a contender. Apparently a few of the transfers are really good. (Remember when they told us about Wes Clark? I'm inclined to believe them!)
Canisius gym is pathetic. Looks like they are playing in a smallish high school with terrible lighting.
Good for Spoon, though. Classy, smart, Buffalo guy. Good luck to him and the Grifs.
National games require pretending that the game was chosen for both teams. It wasn't. Miami is terrible. But they game plan ahead of time to talk about each team a certain amount of time. This broadcast has been 90/10 UB. But they have to give at least some credence to Miami as a team. I'm more than happy with how we're being portrayed on national TV.
This has been basically a Buffalo love fest since before the game started. Sometimes I feel like we get so used to Paul Peck (who is our homer) we forget what a national broadcast is like.
So dumb. They did redeem themselves with the Jolly Roger flag idea. But for so many years I knew that just about anyone on this board could run a better campaign than what they put together.
I'm waiting for Brock to get chiseled. Perk turned a corner once he hit the weightroom hard core.
But Brock might just be a role player who gets better as a JR or SR.
