BulletTrain
CMU (2-7) @ UB (6-4) to start MAC Play this afternoon at 1pm. Both teams coming in off this small break, CMU has dropped 6 of their last 7 coming in, Bulls with 2 tough road losses to close out OOC play. What are you folks looking for in this MAC play opener? Continued progression from McEvans and Woolley? Continued steady play from Hemphill and Fair? Crucial to get this run of games started off with a win at home. CMU is usually tough, this may be a down year, but we need to get off to a strong start and play our game.
TML1000
Good offensive showing...defense less than ideal. Fortunately CMU coughed it up around 30 times, the majority of which were unforced. This CMU team is not very good but a Conference win is what it is. Will need to shore up the paint defense and rebounding. Not sure what was the issue with Young, assuming covid related as she was not on the bench. Hopefully she returns soon as she had been playing well. CMU lost the majority of their best players from last year and now their backup players are now their starters with not experienced backups. They have a couple of freshmen that look decent and their other frontline player/ Weeks was not in the lineup. What a difference a year can make when you lose your best players and don’t hit on your incoming players. It happens more than you think especially in the mid major programs. Still concerned about our frontline depth after Adeyeye and Hemphill. Christie has regressed and not sure who Coach Jack is going to play in critical situations. McEvans injury has limited her playing time and Woolley looks like she should can become a very good player. Hope more fans come out to see this team especially with Fair and Hemphill. Go Bulls!!!!
