  2. I go back and forth on it: Opponents within 7 hours of Buffalo and NYC AAC - 2: (Temple, UConn) ACC - 3: (Cuse, Pitt, BC) Big 10 - 3: (Rutgers, Penn St, Maryland) This makes me wish there was a push for an North Eastern version of the SEC, a "Big East" if you will. Opponents within 12 hours of Buffalo and NYC AAC - 4: (Temple, UConn, Cincy, ECU) ACC - 11: (Cuse, Pitt, BC, UVA, VaTech, Notre Dame, Duke, Wake, UNC, NCSU, Louisville) Big 10 - 6: (Rutgers, Penn St, Maryland, Ohio St, Mich, Mich St) This makes me think ACC > than B1G for our alumni base.
  3. But we need teams ahead of us to lose for our seeding, I think we leap Marquette now.
  4. UConn lost 41 million before Student fees and State support According to USA Today our Expenses are 36 million Revenue 10.2 million, so our "deficit" is 25.8 million... so another 15.2 in costs to compete at the higher level, but also greater revenue potential if we actually compete (UConn has floundered which is part of their problem, losing anywhere is expensive)
  5. Marquettte Loses again. Not sure if good or bad for us.
  6. Houston losing at home and only falling 2 spots is a good argument for joining the AAC
  7. I’d like to think they saw this coming so they preemptively hated us in 05 (and got lucky we didn’t start dominating the MAC then
  8. East of and including Athens, Ohio UB Men's Basketball was 22-5 in 2017-18 (81%) 21-0 in 2018-19 (100%) 43-5 overall (90%) West of Athens, they were 5-4 in 2017-18 (56%) 4-3 in 2018-19 (57%) 9-7 overall (56%)
  9. East of and including Athens, Ohio UB Men's Basketball was 22-5 in 2017-18 (81%) 21-0 in 2018-19 (100%) 43-5 overall (90%) West of Athens, they were 4-5 in 2017-18 (44%) 4-3 in 2018-19 (57%) 8-8 overall (50%) at Miami is the last West of Athens game we'll play this season (excluding possible NCAA games)
  10. Tucking this here cause I don't want to start a new thread but excerpt from an formerADAG interview: Interesting.
  11. The Ohio announcers yesterday treated UB like they were last place in the MAC. Basically conceded they were out of the at-large conversation with the loss to UB. It was kinda insulting, but then again we shouldn't have lost to Akron and BG
  12. I will say, something that the numbers can never capture is the "Game Feeling" I feel like when the game is close, Harris is conceding or driving, because he's not feeling his shot. But when we start to go on a run, and defensive focus goes to DC or CJ or Perk, he'll find himself wide open on the corner, and he pulls up. The crowd draws a huge breathe waiting to explode, the shot looks good, and clank. All the air leaves the building. When that happened last year, he was the dagger man, especially Arizona where he was the difference between a tenuous lead and a blowout. I still think we need him confident if we're going to make a run in the tourney.
  13. That bounce pass Dillard just threw to get the 57th point was maybe the most impressive thing I've ever seen her do.
  14. State Penn is DESTROYING #17 Maryland Ole Miss up 5 on #7 Tenn
  15. Tourney tickets! http://ubbulls.com/tickets/basketball/mac2019
  16. I'm conflicted between having him shoot shots until he finds his stroke and having him abandon his 3 game for his amazing old man at the Y paint game. That said if he took 50% fewer 3's and instead took 2's and scored at the same rate... it would increase his fg% by 6%, but only increase his point production by .56 points per game. So I guess I'm in favor of him shooting till he gets hot, just not at the end of a close game.
  17. D- Ends coach and special teams coordinator Roc Bellatoni going to Washington State. Bad for our very good D-ends unit, good for our very bad special teams unit.
  18. Yes, Maybe we should try a non-dreads Jeenathan... Through the Ohio game, Harris is #1 in: plus/minus season (+358, next best Bull is Jordan at +312) plus/minus conference play (+199, next best Bull is Perk +163) Corsi season (+170, next best Bull is CJ +148) Corsi Conference play (+91, next best Bull is CJ +63) Interestingly, Perk is one of our worse Corsi players in conference but one of our best plus minus... So, when Perk is out there, we're not getting more shots ups, (and thus less hustle plays) but we're scoring more and/or forcing more missed shots from our opponents. But nothing to indicate that Harris' shooting is affecting the other aspects of his game, as we get more shots up when he's on the court and score more points when he's there...(argument can be made that his poor shooting is masked by our rebounding and a replacement player would be better for us, but that should show up over the course of a full season of games in the plus minus numbers, and they haven't)
  19. I haven't carried cash since 2009, if a business is cash only I just leave. So there is a chance they are missing out on some business...
  20. I wonder how many of these are scheduled Friday night and how many are TV moved...because if TV is moving, that means you're good.
  21. Since it's roofless, nice location for a student recreation center. Free up a little space for practice facilities at Alumni, merch the UBshop store with the bookstore at Alumni...
  22. The ESPN app makes leaving early more attractive than ever. You can pop your phone out and keep up with the final few minutes. As an "event" if you value keeping people there for the full game, you have to do something to make that more attractive than the time saved getting out of the lot. (i.e. Marvel found a way to make you sit through the credits.) Is staying till the end a benefit for the Athletic Department? I'd argue probably not, the early leavers help ease parking lot congestion, you probably aren't selling too much in concessions in the final minutes, and people hanging around annoy facilities people who have to start their cleanup.
