  1. Well we did home and homes with UConn (2010-2013) and Temple (2018-19). MBB hasn't been a one way street (UC neutral in the Cayman Islands "Fyre Fest" Classic, home and home vs Temple, one off away against Tulsa), and only once away in women's basketball (UCF a few years ago away, USF neutral in NCAA).
  2. That 3 by CJ at WVU was my favorite 3 since Hamilton's to win the MAC. Felt like it was in the air for an hour.
  3. If we have to spend $x0 million to get us into a slightly better basketball conference, it might not be worth it. There's other factors in play though.
  4. Don't think we need a move to the AAC. It would be nice, but the conference is strong in basketball. Remember when UMass declined the MAC's invite to stay in a basketball conference? That basketball conference is lower than us this year
  5. Travel, especially for Olympic sports. Travel for fans. And that’s about it.
  6. Hudson doesn’t get a single vote, extremely odd. I don’t necessarily think CD got snubbed, any other year she would have won it. This is not to say that CD isn’t an exceptional basketball player. The MAC isn’t a weak basketball conference anymore. There are going to be exceptional players that don’t get top honors. Like Stephanie Reid, All MAC Second Team.
  7. He took a timeout right after Canisius made a basket too!
  8. I absolutely hate Bonaventure and rooted for them in the NCAA tournament. Easier to say when you're in though. I really want Reggie to win a championship but last night's game was painful. Seemed like there was no hustle in the team, turned the ball over a ton, took terrible shots.
  9. He obviously isn't going to get the Buffalo faithful out to games if he says "Ha the Bills are an absolute dumpster fire and even worse look at the Sabres. Thank God I'm a Packers fan!". He has less of a filter than most in his position but he isn't that dumb Was going to say something about how I don't know a single name you posted about, but looky here Matt Stainbrook! That was a fun game.
  10. I imagine that there is a decent amount of overlap between football practice and basketball practice.
  11. Steve Hawkins is goooooone. Wonder if Niagara will call him up
  12. Don't think there's anything special for fourth though 😞
  13. Not after one game of being turned away for capacity issues. If we have another 2-3 years of that, yeah they'd probably pay.
  14. I think it's a combination of W-L record and other teams around us performing poorly. I think at an objective level, we are about as good as we were the previous week. However now that losses are piling on, how low can you keep a team that has lost a total of 3 games.
  15. I could reiterate the numbers that Bull Run has posted numerous times. However think of it like this. In the past 10 years, 12 teams have joined FBS football. One has moved down to FCS (which kinda made sense given their travel situation). There must be some value to FBS football especially in a conference as geographically small as ours. I'm not saying that it makes money, but rather there is marketing/brand value in a D1 FBS football program.
  16. 25k is amazing for WBB. It was not too long ago when you could hear a pin drop during games. The gameday ops people would go to the band to fill in for promotions (and we would get to pick which promotion we wanted). We can still grow "The Village" more though!
  17. Play meh basketball shoot up in the rankings. Win 2 on the road, drop in rankings.
  18. And how much did we get paid to beat up on Rutgers?
  19. All sports lose money IIRC. But football takes in a lot more than the others. Dropping football would case huge title IX problems too.
  20. Wichita State's undefeated-in-33-years football team agrees. Football makes way more money.
  21. We need favorites to win conference tournaments. Power conferences so that some team under us doesn't jump us. Mid majors so that maybe we can get Toledo in too. Low majors doesn't matter who wins.
  22. I'd rather use the time off for going to a NCAA game. It was nice as a student when I had zero responsibilities and got paid a per diem to go to Cleveland...
