  1. I really hope they pack out the crowd. I would rather our guys play in hostile atmospheres to get ready for March
  2. I like it! You have clearly thought about all of this already. If the seats are able to be retractable in the dome shape. I think it is a great idea. The only change I have is where the police station would go. The grassy area between Greiner and Bookstore they are looking to build a new wellness center. I do agree that the police station should be centrally located though
  3. I am feeling a Kent State over BG upset. Kent State is gunning for that top 4 spot while BG has been falling back to reality.
  4. As of today, we (1. Buffalo) would play the winner of 8. Eastern Michigan and 9. Northern Illinois for the Thursday Quarter Final at Noon. Wouldn't mind playing NIU again. Friday we would play the winner of 4. Central Michigan and 5. Kent State/12. Western Michigan The other side of the bracket has all the Ohio teams beating up each other. I like seeing that.
  5. Thank you for your research into this. It completely proves me wrong in my off the cuff observation.
  6. Certain sections are good. Don't mean to knock them. But some sections are bad.
  7. I agree but disagree with the point on defending. Not sure how the stat gurus look at it. Harris was burned a couple times last night on defense. He was lazy on switching ball screens and can't catch players when they drive. It just looks like a lack of effort. I was more conformable with Perkins guarding the guard on ball screens than Harris. Perkins defense has been incredible. I refuse to believe this is the way Harris will finish his career here. I have a feeling about the MAC tournament. I think he finds his rhythm then. It is clearly all in his head. Now let's try to get the crowd going for the entire game rather than 10 minutes left in the game! My girlfriend screamed at a free throw doing a high pitched noise. (It was loud! But the player missed both free throws). The people in our seasons area told her not to do it again. Not sure what the culture has been for the past 20 years. That time is dead. It is time we get loud and support this team. On March 8, we are going all out. Who knows if season ticket holders will try to get us kicked out.
  8. First one is in! Mr. Jon Rothstein who left us out for the past 3 weeks.
  9. Yes! I have noticed this too. It was a none issue in the past but the past couple games I am finding that I plan my restroom breaks (1H: 4min media or 2H: 16min media). Overall, the atmosphere is absolutely awesome. I think everything taking place will encourage others to stay and I think more people will get on board with chants/etc. What I think they should do: a system to donate tickets for season ticket holders. If I am not able to go to a game, a way to notify UB so that those that want to go can check to see if season ticket holders have tickets to give away. For me, it is easy to give away. I have lots of friends I keep in touch of that I can pass off. For older season ticket holders (which is predominately 101-105), they might not know as many people to go. I could be completely wrong.
  10. I think we need to recruit Arizona fans so that we beat ASU 😉
  11. Caught me! Having a boost in fans is certainly a problem that I wouldn't mind having in the arena!
  12. Has been relatively quiet on the Kent forum as well as twitter.
  13. I disagree with that statement. Public and Students are out. It is that people aren't getting into the game. I agree that culture is tough to shift from Public (agreed with Sabres games). Sorry to steer this into a different direction. Back to Kent, is there any word that Avery is playing tonight?
  14. Where did you hear that? That will take too long and Oats has gone on record saying he wants to build a new Gonzaga and Butler. Though I love the idea of being in the AAC and ideally wish we were there. It will take several years of sustained success to get there.
  15. Fun times. I was in this pic. To be fair, not every game was like this. Maybe they should try to start chants before the game starts. I remember we were doing a chant on every possession in the past. Also, feed off what the players are throwing at you. Music should stop during warm ups when they are jumping around getting hype before McCrae slams down a dunk. They have done that the past 2 or 3 home games.
  16. I actually like what they are doing here with this design. If it turns out how the Silverman Library Renovation went or the One Capen on the ground floor, this will look nice.
  17. This game will be sold out. Looking at Tickets online there isn't a lot left. I am assuming that they are going to cap it for standing room online . I hope that our Bulls put on a show like against Ohio.
  18. For those that were there last year, I think it is understandable why they want to move it. In the rare occurrence that Toledo and Buffalo make it to the finals. It is a mad house. Last year I went to HB then to Flannery's because I couldn't get the drink at the bar. HB is the Toledo bar. They just haven't been good enough to make it to Semis or Finals so we didn't have an issue. I like the idea of Southern Tier being the new location especially since it is brand new and I heard it is more spacious than HB
  19. I have been advertising Cleveland to alums and fans for a couple months now. It is always a fun time.
  20. Great question. "UB Bulls Fans, on your feet?" I am not sure if that is it. The flashlights on phones during intro video/introductions is a nice new tradition. I think it has to be something students buy into and it spills to the public (Example: Cowbell)
  21. I noticed that too. I also notice that as the game starts, people are more timid. As the game progresses, people become more vocal. And can they stop telling people to "Get on your Feet" for the tip off. I have seen no one do this at Alumni.
