So much to unpack here. Nate Oats is so genuine and just open. You don’t get the coach speak from him. He mentions how he would love to get his daughter through high school without moving. She’s a freshman. This is a man who sounds like he wants to stay and won’t leave for just any P5 opportunity or more pay. Obviously we can’t take that for granted and that’s where we have to devote resources to him and the program. And that’s where the behind closed doors verbal agreement that we will upgrade facilities is important. This must get done. It should be priority #1 for both our basketball teams. He talked about scheduling...he hinted that in 2021 we will be in a non conference tournament too. That’s good quality. I wonder which it is. He also talked about the fundraising and donors that have flocked to the program...this is important bc these dollars can not only pay coach but get things built. The future is radiant and heck the sooner we can get facilities built and upgraded while Oats is here the better off we will be if he ever were to leave.

Dillard was unreal late in the 4th quarter. Hill played confident. And Summer was dominate down low. This was a big time win. Should solidify us in the big dance but heck we control our own destiny and can punch are own ticket. We going to the ship! One down one more to go. Go Bulls.

I think the 6 seed in the west plays their first weekend in Hartford. And 5 seed in the east plays in Hartford. Either one of those would get great.

Back to the matter at hand...CMU. Guard play will be the story of this game. We need to bring another strong defensive effort. They have scoring guards so Jordan and Caruthers best efforts will be needed. This could be a track meet. Pound Perkins inside and control the game. CMU is playing well...this will be another good challenge.

My fellow Bulls fan don’t go. It’s not that serious. We all want the same thing. I’m simple saying there’s no reason to panick about Toledo losing. It’s just a difference of opinion. If this was February I would agree with you. But it literally is the last game of the season. The only thing that could drop us a seed is a loss. Doesn’t matter to who.

1) I’m pretty sure after their loss Toledo will remain a Q1 win. 2) Math and metrics math and metric...what do your eyes tell you? At this point...the last game of the season...you can put aside the numbers. If your fear is playing NIU in the finals and in beating them our seed will suffer I highly disagree. At this point I think it’s irrelevant who we play that last game. Just win. Be 31-3 and the committee won’t screw is over. They won’t be like oh but you only beat NIU in the finals. It’s body of work.

It would be the last game before the big dance. I mean are we really acting like whoever we would play is the end of the world? Come on. We have proven we are not just some mid major team. Plus Toledo is not a Q1 team. The are a Q2. And the main reason we moved up in Kenpom was bc of our efficiency today. Not bc of who we beat. But how we beat them. So by that theory playing a lesser team we should steam roll them as opposed to playing a tougher team.
