  1. Might not be ready to contribute a ton this season but he was someone i thought really stood out tonight
  2. Mading did that like he expected to do it. Like its common occurrence
  3. 2nd rotation hasn't been great. When all three of segu williams and mballa are out the team looks dis organized. Maybe its the opponent but its been a bit rough
  4. Have an actual good shooter on the team in maceo Jack. Haven't seen a nice looking 3 pt shot since harris
  5. The trio of segu williams mballa is one of the better trios in the country, the key will be the depth. If there is depth this team can be special, if the depth is similar to previous couple seasons you are looking at a very good mac team
  6. The exhibition is definitely needed just to get in a groove, get rotations and get the jitters out but I can't imagine medaille is anywhere close to daemen
  7. Most (my experience has been all) now are just a qr code in an app. A few years ago yes but it wouldn't be or look like a stub
  8. Not sure if they do it but it would be a nice touch if the digital ticket had a print option not to be used to get in the event but if someone wanted the "stub". Like some art work and the date/teams/times etc
  9. Voted 21 to 24 My super optimistic prediction is 8-1 ooc and 17-3 in conference for 25-4 My realistic prediction 6-3 ooc and 16-4 in conference for 22 - 7 I really don't see many if any mac teams being able to match up with our top 3 guys so I expect a top mac performance either way
  10. As an adult I don't care about paper tickets or digital. But I would be heart broken as a child. I loved collecting ticket stubs from sporting events I went to
  11. The idea would be the loss of revenue would be made up for in brand/promotion/marketing/recruiting for both schools It could become part of the "ub or Bonnie college experience" not just for the student athlete but the student body Not to merge or change the subject but if successful its also something ub could show a larger conference
  12. It increases the Macs chances of becoming a 2 bid league. Now you will have 5 teams that seemingly do well ranking wise year in year out in Ub,Ohio,Toledo, Akron and wky And really 3 that have been top mid majors recently in ub ohio and wky
  13. I was going for more that all the games between them would get played in key bank. So neutral site each year
  14. Its been talked about before but assuming ub continues to trend upward and the bonnies as well. Having that game at key bank could be an awesome atmosphere and help grow the game of basketball in WNY Thinking back to the 2019 game in alumni which I believe was sold out; so the game can move tickets
  15. You are underestimating what good metrics will do for a team. Which buffalo will have (they have had since oats) New Mexico in offense and defense efficiency they were 134 offense and 184 defense while buffalo last year was 97 offense and 64 defense (per kenpom) not to include top 5 rebounding team in the nation So while new mexico had the q1 and q2 they didn't put up good efficiency numbers which with each year is becoming increasingly important. I agree with you a quad 4 loss will make it very difficult but that resume with good metrics will be a bubble team. Its how ub got an at large NIT bid last year
  16. The football stadium is absolutely miserable. The stadium gets fixed the crowd will come College football in the north especially in pro football towns will always be a tough draw. The weather is a killer. Does the die hard football fan in buffalo want to spend both Saturday and Sunday in 30 degree weather out doors on a weekend? Would a roofed facility be beneficial? (If money wasn't an issue)
  17. Using just quads as references Quad 1: 0-2 quad 2: 2-1 Quad 3: 8-2 Quad 4: 13-1 Say the quad 3 and 4 losses are mac teams. Getting to and losing the mac championship game puts that team in the conversation for an at large. They can sneak in based on their metrics and how they looked against the q1 opponents Its a resume that at least gets your logo on the bubble watch Biggest issue to me is I'm not sure we have enough quad 2 games. Could really use a mac team to step up or a team like uc irvine to take off. Better yet western kentucky to play to their usual standards
  18. A good out of conference schedule and good offensive/defensive metrics plus 4 or less losses in conference would do exactly that There are years where with a weak bubble they could sneak in
  19. When ub beats Michigan it is gonna get even tougher to schedule P6 schools
  20. Not a huge fan of the non d1 games but I do like the placement of both games, right after a tough stretch to begin the season which happens to before a tough bonnies game and then another near the start of conference play
  21. I don't understand the lack of support for the basketball team or why people in buffalo continue to put the sabres over ub basketball. Ub basketball since Hurley has been a good product. Fun entertaining and winning Not to mention cheaper too
  22. Solid adds basketball wise Wonder what Marshall(cusa is falling apart) and Temple(new travel costs) are thinking as well All been thinking leaving the Mac but maybe expanding/growing the mac is the actual answer
  23. Think its pretty lateral Think its a necessary move to get to even an AAC level though Also with cusa seemingly getting pillaged by the aac, would be interesting if a conference like cusa threw some weight behind Ub and went all in on making and growing ub athletics. Kind of taking a gamble on a huge state school and seeing if they can grow and be a pillar and flagship in their conference
  24. Honestly its pretty lateral in my opinion. It just was at one point much higher. But I do believe ub has a better chance to land in an actual good conference by being in cusa rather than the Mac. Unless of course ub becomes the gonzaga of the Mac in both football and basketball
