  1. I am really curious as to what goes on in the brain of our AD. I’m very hopefully for Lembo, he actually feels like a Buffalo guy. I just don’t understand why you create a problem with a program where there isn’t one. Had a solid season, every single starter was coming back and we had a top recruiting class coming in. Does ADMA have a friend who is a wrestling coach that needs a job?
  2. Do you think he was interested, or is he just satisfied at Toledo?
  3. I wouldn’t be opposed to one or both
  4. I never heard a commitment either. They likely knew there was a potential issue so didn’t announce until they had confirmation. Could have been a nice piece.
  5. I’m betting the prep school he attended that was created to avoid Covid restrictions didn’t have their ducks in a row. If he can’t play for D1 or D2, he’s definitely missing some things that he can fill at JUCO. Nice to know how WOULD have come to Buffalo 😂
  6. After their strong showing in the South conference, Canterbury's Tim Oboh has graduated from last year's top U17 player to this season's MVP. The Kent programme went 9-3 and had a strong opportunity to win the conference before a late-season blip, with Oboh claiming multiple Player of the Year nods along the way. 16.9PPG went with 12.1RPG as Oboh continually impressed, and his efficient shooting around the rim (50.9FG%) helped Canterbury to become one of the big storylines of the 2023/24 regular season. Oboh just managed to pip JMA's Isaac Round for the award as the duo were voted either first or second by every coach in the conference.
  7. What a devastating blow 🤣 It's only a matter of time before they figure out how to do a trade deadline for those P5 teams trying to make a march madness push and get some injuries. Sounds foolish, but I would not be surprised.
  8. Absolutely, student is the furthest thing from any of this. Is really just minor league basketball with salaries ranging from $0 to millions of dollars, but nobody really knows. Would it wrong for the NIL values to be made public? One of the arguments I heard is that the players are employees, want to unionize, etc. it would be nice to know what reality is since some guys may think they are going to get $100k and end up with coupons to Buffalo Wild Wings instead
  9. No, when Graham was granted the ability to play this season, basically the court ruling said there can't be transfer sit-outs anymore so anyone can go anywhere, anytime regardless of previous transfers or what year you are in. It's currently the wild west. Maybe it will change, but it will be a court ruling and I'm sure everyone already in the portal will be protected.
  10. Not sure about easily since they lost to Clemson at home and only scored 77 that game. They certainly have a very good chance, especially if they play with that level of intensity again.
  11. This should open things up for Watson. If we can get proficient on the inside game and get our rebounding to be close to even with MAC teams, her mid-range game with flourish and if she misses we will have a much better chance at getting offensive rebounds. We will also have 3 good ballhandlers in Lopez, Freshman Rowe and transfer Cornfield. Could be a really tough team.
  12. Guard - Wangolo, Lewis-Williams, Take, Gines, Lopez, Watson (6) Guard/Forward - Davis, Ogden (2) Forward - Ojala (1) Moving on - Elhusseini, Baron, Johnson, Craig Uncertain - Gouzelou Known Incoming - Barr-Budday, Rowe, Daly, Cornfield, Hartman, Thompson (6) That would put us at (15) plus Gouzelou. I'm guessing she is done at this point unless someone else leaves. I believe there are only 14 scholarships, so not sure what that means. Maybe Ojala is moving on?
  13. Looks like she got lost on the bench at GW. I'm guessing she will get plenty of PT next year. Will be good to have some size and rebounding acumen.
  14. She's from Blair Academy too, that's usually a powerhouse school.
  15. He played very well, one of their "stars" pretty much shit himself, which led to the loss. CuJo definitely made a good move in the portal. He's one of the success stories so far. To a previous point, can he parlay this success into a second sack of cash from someone bigger? Time will tell.
  16. Not next year. We need a group of culture fit guys or fire this coach and hire a coach focusing on Mercenary basketball. That is not what GH3 is building. I also think teams like Oakland, what Princeton used to be, etc. can still be done, but it is harder in the current environment. I would like to get to a point of paying guys to be retained that earned it versus throwing money at guys to come in and leave the guys that busted their ass with nothing. The other option would be going the GCU route, they have guys from Louisville, Oregon, Arizona St. Depaul, Georgia St., UNLV, etc. They have a coach with a bit of a name if anyone remembers the 90's and I'm assuming they have a sack of money that UB does not currently have. Realistically, I would consider a .500 record in MAC play and a berth in the MAC Tournament a success for 2024-25.
  17. If they play together and run some sort of system that gets good looks and not just a group of chuckers, that play with defensive intensity, I will be happy.
  18. On one hand, we say these are kids and should have choice, etc. Now they need to be slick businessmen or hire agents or Uncle Rico to negotiate deals, etc. for them. Is the actual sport even important anymore? Good Lord.
  19. Unless the P5 teams think it’s a problem, it won’t change. If they do, it will change but it will be geared to benefit them the most
  20. I do not see any. He retweeted a bunch for his teammates. Lots of P5 offers, especially the kid that ended up at UConn.
  21. Looks like he played on the UK U18 team, 5.9 ppg, 5.9 rpg. He also played at Long Island Lutheran, they were 2023 Champions, couldn't find much by way of stats. One of his former teammates plays for UConn (Jayden Ross - Freshman). Comes from a solid, winning program so that's nice. International experience should be a plus.
  22. Another kid from the UK. 6'7" PF, averaged 5.9ppg, 5.9rpg, 0.9 apg, 0.9 spg, 0.4bpg
  23. I would be happy with that signing.
  24. Don't disagree, but they have to be the right upperclassmen. They cannot be selfish me-first players, they need to buy in to whatever the offensive and defensive gameplan/vision is so they can actually help develop the young guys. That's what I'm hoping for from Noah and maybe a couple other guys.
  25. He could go and take a few players with him.
