I mean, not every player is going to up and leave to Syracuse. They can't just add half of the UB roster and think they'll be top of the ACC. They have some players already, and have the ability to recruit big names both high school and portal players. Let's see who the new coach is, before completely thinking that we're starting from scratch (although I am nervous for sure).

Akron doesn't get the cheap bailout foul on the final drive, unlike vs. UB. Ali had the wide open man in the corner, but didn't look to pass to him, wanted the glory, instead cost them.

It's the MA(A)C. That's a crazy upset. Iona was supposed to be the team there, they get knocked off and St Pete's grabs a huge win over the blue blood.

His parents both were athletes at UB as well.

Toledo got smoked by 19 at home in round one of the NIT. Not a good showing for the MAC. We'll see if Akron fares better. Honestly, I couldn't care less, but hoping for a big win in the women's NCAA game for the MAC entrant!

Get to face off against the person who hired Coach Jack at UB. Gotta love the committee sometimes. She was in Cleveland before the games as well. Didn't stop her from scoring 29 yesterday.

Bama gets the 6 and if they win, Nate gets to go up against Texas Tech, the team who he coached his final game against while at UB.

Hope the squad gets a good match up and brings the D from Friday. If they can do that for 40 minutes, they can compete with any of the teams they could potentially face in rounds 1 and 2.

I didn't say that. I said that the thought process should be the same as our 1st round exit, although they had even higher expectations and ranked during the season. In no way should schmidt be canned or even considered, though my saying that would make me too positive of a person to some. The guy, team has been good for years. Sucks to lose in the quarters, though it happens sometimes.

It's probably little difference than our year, although their expectations were even much higher than ours from the start. I'd say no way as an outsider, but several here would likely bring the ax down.

I am not a fan of "if ub misses Cleveland" talks 1 day after a season ends, especially having absolutely zero idea what the roster looks like next year, but if that was to happen, removal would and should be on the table. What if UB wins Cleveland next year, do you give a raise and extension/ build a statue out front of alumni? Might as well ask that same question since we literally have no clue what next year may bring as of today. Might get transfers in, out, jucos, freshmen, other schools all have mass exodus. It's all on the table in the transfer portal era in my eyes.
