  1. MSU player barely tipped the ball on the way up, which was the reason for the air ball out of bounds. K-State awarded the ball after the replay review.
  2. If he was the guy that shouldnā€™t effect anything. He can do all that post-announcement. They get paid enough to figure it out on the fly. Often coaches families donā€™t make the move for a while.
  3. Updated language about 2nd time transfers from the NCAAā€¦
  4. Horns Up is just an uniformed troll. Best not to feed him. Unfortunately the site doesnā€™t have an ignore feature.
  5. Yes, you are correct. But itā€™s not a collective, at least I donā€™t think. Itā€™s a way to help connect athletes and businesses. Collectives literally pay kids.
  6. Former UB/Canisius assistant as well. UB 2000-2005ish era.
  7. Thatā€™s not a collective. Itā€™s the department educating the kids about NIL.
  8. We donā€™t have one. Toledo does, NIU does but not sure if thatā€™s focused on Football.
  9. You know what they say when you assumeā€¦
  10. If Jim gets a decent job, the buyout is likely cut in half or more. If Jim were to, say, go back to Nate at Bama since heā€™s losing at least one assistant, the buyout could end up being even smaller. You always complain about not being ā€œbig timeā€, buyouts of ineffective coaches are part of the game.
  11. Iā€™m totally with you. I definitely donā€™t think it can hurt. But usually coaches stay for the right chance like Luke Fickell in Football when itā€™s a difference of already making $3 million and you get offered $5 million but choose to stay. When theyā€™re making $400-500k here and get offered $3-4 million, we just donā€™t stand a chance. And thatā€™s ok if it means championships for us. Hopefully heā€™s the choice and we have that problem.
  12. Respectfully, any coach who comes in and wins will treat us as a stepping stone when millions are put in front of them. Whether theyā€™re from here or not. All Nate Oats talk about Gonzaga of the East was just salesmanship. He took the first big check he was offered. As any of us would.
  13. End of game it stops. End of the first half it does not.
  14. They already have a lot of the legwork done identifying potential candidates that fit a criteria, do background checks, etc. They can have all the off the record conversations that arenā€™t subject to state open records requests, especially if someone is a sitting head coach and doesnā€™t want it known theyā€™re exploring.
  15. In my 30+ years of season tickets and donating Iā€™ve met a lot of supporters. Not a single one has mentioned Andersonā€™s name. I agree itā€™d be a horrible pick, but relax already.
  16. Honestly if BH were gonna be the guy, and if he wanted to be the guy, wouldnā€™t it have been done already? Longer this goes Iā€™m guessing his chances dwindle.
  17. Correct. And word was Hardnett was planning to return unless he got pro opportunities overseas.
  18. Good dude. Think Coach Q, and we, could use a fresh start. Hope he lands somewhere quickly.
  19. 100% Correct. But the best class weā€™ve ever had is coming in and there was a remarkable coaching job done, under the circumstances (team played very hard, competed above their talent, etc). But no former ties to the program or WNY. Just saying it isnā€™t a prerequisite. No media members have given any inside info. 100% pure speculation based on nothing.
  20. No, you donā€™t. You get the same people who would attend a UB game, minus students.
  21. College sports coaching graveyards are filled with former great recruiters. Just find the best coach. The rest takes care of itself. Nobody around here had a clue who Becky was before she was hired.
