Definitely cause for concern, eastern and akron play bottom of the barrel teams. Miami plays ball state which is good, but at home who knows.

I like this, but I’ll take Toledo in the semis. Kent vs Toledo final, and I think Toledo will get it done.

Well we have a 3 game series from 2026 to 2033. Two away one home. Would be nice to get them home before that, have a nice spot in 2024 or 2025.

Game should be done and dusted, now I want to see them flow, play like a playoff team

I think we have more people on our bench than they have fans in the stadium.

From people I know, our athletics department can be very difficult. I feel from Syracuse’s point of view they would rather play us than another MAC team. An in-state game would bring more people, more excitement, more bragging rights.

Not sure if I even want to win against NIU tonight. Like yeah I always want to win and guarantee a spot in Cleveland, but I can’t stand getting smacked by Akron again this season, I’d rather draw Kent, kept that a close game.

Would love for the school and him to reach an agreement where he retires instead of getting sacked. That way the program saves face and we can wake up from this nightmare.

Correction, played in Syracuse twice and away once

They’re not unfamiliar with MAC teams. Since 2014 they’ve done it a couple times. Played WMU home once and away twice. Did the same thing with CMU. Played at Ohio in 2021. I bet UB could convince them, our athletic department just doesn’t ever try to grow our program.

I’ve talked extensively with friends about this, and perhaps I’m ignorant, but UB football has attendance issues. UB athletics tries to solve this by offering free chick-fil-a and shirts, but in my opinion there’s a much simpler solution to get people to show up. Why don’t we just call up Syracuse. Come up with some schedule where we play there 2 years and they come here once or something. They get their annual preseason thrashings and dominance of New York, we get paid and the added bonus of ticket sales. Might feel like an away game here but I bet we could sell out easy.

Great start so far against BG, just hope they can find some consistency here. Can’t have one of those periods of 7 minutes with no scoring against a good team.

This game annoyed me so much. I’ll always complain about the refs because I’m biased and I can, but the amount of times they gave Kent the ball after they clearly hit it out was absurd. Standing in the front of the students I had a real clear view of this. There was one time Kent hit the ball out right in front of us. One ref called it correctly, then another ref who was looking the other way turned around and called it for Kent, was unbelievable.
