Murphy has homered in 2 straight games this week. a 3 run shot and 2 run show respectively. Overall on the season hitting .297 5hr 11rbi Nice to see him maintaining his success in the backup role. His strikeout rate has remained the same. If he could ever lessen that a bit I could see him staying in the bigs for a while. He also pitched 3 innings over 3 games this season in blowouts. One game he even pitched a clean inning with 2ks

I don't know how to wnba works but I just figured 2nd round pick had a good shot at roster and or at least another wnba team.

I was on vacation but just so pumped they landed skogman especially after it was looking like we didn't have much of a chance. I just love his game and measurables. I can't wait to see him here.

This. Im still in shock. Ive said it a bunch of times but at the start of the year Jackson and Johnson were 1st round picks in mock drafts, at worst 1st/2nd round duo! Hodge was an outside 4th rounder. We've had James Starks miss an entire season and go 6th round. We had Steven Means and Josh Thomas go 5th round before Macks year We even had Schrek go last round a couple years ago. No way I could have imagined one of our 2 big offensive players not being drafted. Anthony Johnson simply had too many injuries linger this year. Combined that with a rough combine. If he had come out last year I wonder if goes Top 3 rounds with that year he had. Tyree Jackson completely amazes me. Yeah he was raw as hell and definitely need another year, but between the media hype and athletic upside and teams hard on for QBs, I have no idea what happened.

All I know is Philip Lindsey got 15k from the broncos after the draft last year. So 75 seems pretty nice for undrafted

I love that he's staying in Buffalo..I'd love if they grabbed aj as well. Honestly Tyree just got as much ESPN coverage as he would have gotten if he were drafted. So many people in the media love Jackson. Really shocked he went undrafted. ESPN also showed Johnson on the phone.

I feel like this late in the draft UDFA youd rather be. Other than to just say you got drafted.

Its still crazy to me that the first CBS mock draft I saw this year had Anthony Johnson and Tyree Jackson in the 1st round. Now they might go undrafted. I feel worst for AJ. There were times I thought he had 1st round big time WR talent. (still do) Maybe all the injuries stunted his development. Only thing I can think of. Bills dont take either with their first 7th rounder.

Bills have 2 7th round picks, Johnson/Jackson? :) Tyree definitely got some bad advice, but based on what was read in the media I think even I thought he was going at worst 5th round. Seems his combine was very good and some started to think he might jump a couple rounds. Teams obviously didn't think this way.

I think both of them go in the 6th round though.

Definitely disappointed Anthony Johnson still hasnt been drafted. To start the year he was projected by CBS to go top 15 of the first round. Im also shocked Tyree is still around in the 6th round. Thought there was enough hype there.

Im starting to get that feel too, that he will go earlier than expected. Even mid late 2nd round would not shock me. Even if his package and polish say hes rd 4-5, teams go nuts looking for a sleeper QB. Combined that with his physical attributes I think a team will take him earlier than expected out of fear of not getting him.

No doubt they will and by the looks of it Im confident they'll get some good players. But it was fun thinking of getting this type of player.

Was hoping he'd end up with a Wisconsin like offer from Marquette then realized hed look great as a Hauser replacement... think this might end up being a good marriage and we miss out. Still hoping we are near the top of his list in case they pass.

We were talking about it in the Portsmith thread... CJ before the NCAA tournament was getting buzz and on a few mock drafts. But after a quiet tourney havent seen much. His workouts will be the telltale for his draft stock at this point. Perkins went off a bit at the PI but generally doesn't move the needle a lot. Still saying possibly our best chance might be CJ in the last 10 picks of the 2nd round. Maybe some people fall in love with Perk last second though. At the start of the year Harris to me and scouts as well had the best NBA game/skill set but he just had a brutal stretch that carried through the MAC season.

Murph launched another HR yesterday going 2/4, 1hr 2rbi Only has gotten into 6 games as Narvaez is hitting so well (hitting .304, 5hr 12rbi in 19 games) But hes hitting .429, 2 HR, 4 RBI in 21 ABs When hes gotten a chance hes produced. And hes been getting 3-4 games off between appearance. Definitely nice!

From the day Oats left until the last few days patience was the only thing that was keeping most of us grounded. Im just happy we got the coach, staff, current players, now some recruiting momentum. All in all Ive been very pleased with the post-Oats departure and where its headed. If they land all 3 of these guys, or even 2 (with one being Skogman) Im going to be pretty excited again.

Totally love this guys look and game. These would be 2 great additions and make our bigs core nice for next season. His offer list is not too shabby at all. Would feel pretty excited with this one.

Interesting, so he can at least hit an outside shot if the chance comes to him. Kinda has an odd bit of Idbihi feel to his shot lol. Just from his quick highlight video he looks to move well. Like someone else said, kind of more polished version of Ikenna which would be perfectly fine.
