weareub46
I'm a little confused how this tourney works. I see we play Dartmouth and Marist at US campus sites and then it looks like everyone is guaranteed 2 games in Ireland. What I don't understand is are there 2 champions?? 1 for the Samson Bracket and 1 for the Goliath bracket? Do those 2 champions then play each other for one winner?? Side note: The home page for the tourney is a picture of Perkins dunking and it's awesome
Kevin
Yeah, it's a strange one. Instead of three games like most, they are doing a 2 campus plus 2 games there I think the reason for two champions is to eliminate the third game. I'd probably rather get Dartmouth and Marist at home and play UW-M/San Francisco there. The championship of UB/SF are the only "top 100" teams attending. dutchcountry7
It's just two different tournaments with some cross over games. Just a little strange since all the programs are really peers of each other.
BrooklynBull
Many tournaments are like this now. A bunch of campus games and then "championship games" with a predetermined four teams. The Coaches vs. Cancer tournament uses this format.
