skrabukes
Good for him and nice to see a local kid earn his stripes.
UB92
It is actually a good strategy as well. Other walk-ons (or those considering walking on to UB in the near future) see that with hard work and some luck, there is an opportunity to get a scholarship...especially as someone local. 121Merrimac
I find it helpful that walk-ons have been listed in the camp spotlight series. https://ubbulls.com/news/2021/8/16/football-camp-spotlight-wide-receivers.aspx Given his .8154 247 rating, I was surprised to see Tahliq Battle on this list. Everyone else in the series so far has been unrated by 247.

Probably announced his commitment after we had our scholarships filled

I'm not sure where I got .8154 from... perhaps 247 revised their number, or I copied it from somewhere else. The only other .8154 in the 12 years of data I have is Brian Plummer from this year's class, so that can't be the source.

Wonder if they’re changing it or something? There’s been some big profile players who were once rated by 247 and now have no stars.

We only had 8 recruits listed, now it's up to 12. I know there are a lot of kids out there but if that's your business, it's not that impressive.
