Chet
It's remarkable to see the Central Michigan women's team with a 4-24 record this season. What a remarkable drop off from their reign in the MAC with their former Coach Sue Guevara. It certainly offers perspective for the Bulls men's basketball team after losing Oats.

I am sure that the coach does and can make a difference in many aspects but CMU over the last couple years started to lose the main core of players that in most cases played all the minutes in a game and then they had a good 6-8 core that could contribute with not much of a drop off. This year the reserve players except for two are now the main players without them not getting positive contributions from the bench. Hard to imagine how we would be this year without some players like Hemphill, Adeyeye and a a player like Fair. It really comes down to your recruiting and if you can hit on some players and good case is a player like Woolley who started out slowly but now is one of our three bet players. Go Bulls!!! UB92
I know you are talking about the impact of a coach leaving (especially for the women's team), but I shutter to think about what next year is going to look like for the men's team. We are losing so much production and so many minutes.

It returned Jordan, Graves, 2 freshmen who played minimally but were highly touted in Segu, Williams, Brock, Fagan. Also had Antwain Johnson and Grant, both of whom became fodder for several on this board, especially the one. They had 0 recruits after the exodus of the head coach and several other staff members. This team returns Skogman, Jones, Hardnett, Perry, unprovens in Mading, Williamson, Blocker and a signee point guard that looks promising. The sky isn't falling completely. The team will likely take a step (or more) back, but so did from the top 25 team. This current group has won 20+ each year (with 1+ more wins this year), after massive losses 3 years ago. Wait and see what happens, and enjoy THIS team. They are a good one, a veteran one, and one deserving of a full house on Tuesday and fans in Cleveland.

Our family has been saying to enjoy both these teams this year and really not trying to compare these teams to the previous teams. We were unsure of how our women’s team was going to be when Reid and company and then Dillard left but here we are with another very successful season. For the men the same scenario with all the quality players with Hurley and Oats and we were wondering how it was going to play out. Here we are again with another successful and competitive team albeit with different type players that are not as consistent as we have become accustomed to. Have been and will continue to support our teams and we already have our reservations for Cleveland. Go Bulls!!!
