John
The biggest question??? What happened to Fair?? She was nowhere to be found. A game UB squad against a very good Ohio team. On the negative it was the first game played without Fair and it showed big time. Too much one player trying to do it all with Onwuka out of control and trying keto do it all. Christie and Schiffer playing like they were still overseas and in high school. 22 turnovers and one sequence in the 4th quarter we had 4/5 possessions with turnovers. Know we are still a very young team but we were very slow on defense and could not contend with Ohio’s quickness and as usual the officials were atrocious on many missed calls going against us. As always no accountability with officials. The positive is UB fought the whole game and we had a decent 2,600 crowd. Already starting to look like a roller coaster ride for the women and men this year and our support will not waiver. Go Bulls!!!!
RecoveringHillbilly
Buffalo News says a violation of team rules. Though we played tough, just hard to overcome with no Fair, no Gaba.
BasketBull
Summer Hemphill was also said to have had surgery on her leg injury which almost certainly means she won't be available the rest of the year. No word yet on whether they'll use a medical redshirt and have her back next year.

No Fair and the first game they played without her. Christie’s first game back from injury. Onwuka looking like she had to do it all herself and really playing out of control many times and being guarded by one of Ohio’s best players. Not sure why Gaba did not play but with Ohio’s quickness and Gaba being on the slow side that could be the case. Really no offensive flow and a lot of one player trying to drive through the entire Ohio defense. 22 turnovers and many errors leaving Ohio open for shots. The last three games have been a tad of a concern as the overall ball movement has not been good and when we come up against a quick, athletic team like Ohio and some other teams in the MAC it will be interesting to see if Coach Jack can get these players to play under control and more team ball. Looking forward to Wed’s game against Bowling Green and a win. Go Bulls!!!!
ubfan75
No Summer (likely for the season), no Fair (even I would be afraid to back-talk coach Jack) and no Gaba (a coaching decision) made for a tough out against a veteran, athletic team. The good news is that the team fought back to within 5 from a considerable deficit, that Schiffer appears to embrace her current roll as a 3FG specialist, and that Christie has shown steady improvement over the past few months. Finally, the officials are indeed pathetic. The lack of an obvious charge call late in the game really killed any momentum UB had. rma
I thought we played well given our situation of tons of freshmen and no Hemphill/Fair. Reffing was bad and we turned the ball over too much, but we contained Hooks well. Hate to sound like a Bonnies fan complaining after we beat them, but there was a 27-6 free throw discrepancy. Taking out intentional fouls, it was 17-6. I think we probably deserved 4 or so more trips to the line.

I'd love to see a rule that modifies that. Edited January 13, 2020 by ubfan75 typo
