A couple of things from a Marquette fan: 1. When Markus Howard gets rolling, just get out of the way. You cannot stop him. Buffalo is not the first team he did this to. Tonight he could have hit shots lying on his back in the parking lot. (See picture below of his four-point play.) 2. Scheduling was not in your favor. You played three quality teams in a week with the last two on the road. Marquette had a ten-day break for finals, followed by a tune-up against a bunny. This might be a different game under different circumstances. At least don't fret the margin. 3. Your team is damn good. Really, they might be the best we have played so far. And we probably are the best you have played so far. A couple shots not going in for Marquette in the first half and this might well be a different game. At least not a blow-out. It is tough to win on the road anywhere. But most Marquette fans were impressed. Your guys are quick, can shoot, and know what to do with the ball. They are not five guys playing one-on-one. I do not know what the competition looks like in the MAC this year, but usually there are some good, underrated teams in your league, and it is really hard to run the table in any conference. But i sure like your chances. Since we played tonight, we are unlikely to meet in the post-season. I for one do not feel bad about that. Good luck the rest of the way out, and enjoy this team. It is worth enjoying.

Who on this board and in the UB fan universe would not have been dancing in the streets if I told you before the season that our record at this point would be 11-1, with a Syracuse win, a win at West Virginia, multiple weeks being ranked in the top 25 and tons of positive national exposure to once was at best a middling basketball program? Be happy! Celebrate this team and it’s coaches. Let’s get out and support the program both by attending games and providing financial support. The best is yet to come. Go Bulls!!!!

Buffalo fans have invaded downtown Mobile. Not an easy trip but you guys are everywhere in Mobile. Thanks for making the trip down. Great fans and best of luck tomorrow!

Crazy enough, I still feel like we played one of our better games of the year tonight. Most of those Howard shots were highly contested. I'm speechless by that performance. Perkins and Graves hurt us pretty badly and our FT are sub-par, but otherwise we were very good. I'm proud of these guys. Let's plow the MAC.

So this is what it's like to play in the Pac 12

Season so far has been spectacularly good, despite not putting it all together yet. I think the travel, number of games away, the fact that they just had exams, Christmas - the whole lot - caught up with the Bulls yesterday. And yet the Bulls played it pretty even for 31 minutes. I imagine Marquette won’t lose many games with Howard performing as he did yesterday. And NOBODY is going to lose making 18 threes. I wouldn’t count West Virginia or Syracuse out of the running just yet, but if they do it’ll lessen the impact of the wins. Barring injuries, academic ineligibilities, or illness the Bulls should be the favorite in every game until the NCAAs. Go Bulls!

Starting to get pumped a bit more for this game. Had to forget the title game and luckily the mens BB team helped with that for a bit. Had we never won a MAC title before Id probably still be devastated at this point. But as much as I still wanted that (and the way he it happened), I wanted the bowl win more this year. I like this matchup and the bowl. I also enjoy it being fairly close to Xmas. Never liked the idea of being one of the first games played during the week. Although it was pretty cool going to our first bowl game in person right before the title game. Again lets get this W, would love to cap off a very good season with our first bowl win

All these metrics are designed not to be fair to all but to help power conferences. They use whatever means to justify a .500 conference record for a large school. Whatever fits.....be it road wins, quad wins, rpi and even quality losses. I cant stand the b.s. they spew on selection Sunday.

I am sick of hearing how we supposedly have any kind of seed or at-large bid "locked up" right now. Right now, we haven't done -bleep-. The job is done when it's done, we're there when we're actually there. And right now, not even mid season, we aren't anywhere for real. There are still plenty of skeptics just waiting to say "I told you so" about UB (who were severely disappointed after Tuesday's game). The job wasn't done at halftime in Detroit a few weeks ago, it wasn't done halfway through the second half in 2005, it's sure as heck not locked up before Christmas in 2018-19.

We’ll definitely drop down in net once conference play starts, no might about it.
