Bona will be fine even after the loss. They're an elite defensive team who had an off-night against a team (namely one player) that was absolutely unconscious from 3. They won't run into another team again this year who will shoot 50% from 3 against them. UNI was well-coached - moved the ball well, had a big who can shoot 3s to stretch the floor, didn't turn the ball over, always made the extra pass. The thin bench is a concern, but as we see with teams like UB, Ohio, etc., that's not terribly uncommon right now. The A-10 is comparatively weak this year compared to previous seasons, and Bona should lose no more than like 4 games in conference. You never know, but I'd be surprised if they didn't somewhat roll through the conference this season. Say what you will about early Kenpom rankings, but the 2nd-ranked team in the A-10 is only #73 (Richmond). Bonnies are likely far and away the best team in the A-10 this year.

I'd like to see Curtis Jones get at least 25 minutes running point. Let Rondo rest his legs and get the young PG some live fire. Also want to see Skogman play heavy minutes and be encouraged to go for it offensively.

They are NAIA ranked 208 by massey and lost to Akron by 56 points. I will let you make your determination.

We should always root for wny teams. It’s just good for the area and builds excitement in our sport.

Can we stop the "at large talk"? If you think the ncaa would ever give the MAC or pretty much any non big time $$ conference extra bids, you're crazy. The NCAA is about $$, and UB/MAC isn't part of their plan. Just enjoy the team, hopefully they will build as the season continues and can win in March, and then make a run.

Well, the team is better this season than they were last year. Are you insinuating Coach Jack should go or is not a good coach? Bc that is laughable. She has brought more sustained success to this program than any UB team has ever had. If a player isn't happy or can't hack it...they can go. Again, it doesn't help the player or team for someone to stay if they do not want to be here.
