  1. Agreed, but with a schedule more than twice as long, the penalty would be less severe.
  2. Should flagrant 2 fouls be treated more like targeting calls in football? Meaning, the offender also misses the next game.
  3. Looks like the Bulls set another trap. How many opponents have lost their game prior to facing Buffalo this year? edit: fewer than I thought. Iโ€™d say Syracuse and the Southern Illinois/ Murry St game... canโ€™t count their Kentucky loss.
  4. Lesser wins: Canisius tonight. The Salukis, yesterday or the day before. They all help.
  5. Now at Miami, he's cleaning house faster than a Hoover, no, Dyson. Bye bye offensive staff.
  6. Probably just my (poor?) memory, but I always though he was more of a FB guy, and can't recall any specific Reggie comments.
  7. I was more perplexed by the interaction between coach and player. It seemed quite cold to me. Avoiding eye contact at all costs.
  8. I happened to meet a few of the Baschnagel clan while skiing at Lake Tahoe almost 20 years ago. I knew their connection to Buffalo, but I didn't learn of Norb's time with UB's MBB until much more recently.
  9. Also surprised at the lack of posts related to NSD. I imagine the overlap of these two events is quite stressful for the staff.
  10. .. but, you probably spelled it correctly... # wouldn't
  11. agreed, and yet I woundn't mind if they kept that in their pocket until March.
  12. No, I'm envious... I'm not there. Have fun!!
  13. do they have a second location in Mobile?
  14. KenPom liked the win. Before: UB 34 / SU 29 After: UB 24 / SU 35
  15. I think the addition of a psychology coach was also a great move.
  16. So... shoulda been looking ahead to SU after all... ๐Ÿ˜‰
  17. In conference, the teams are the same as 2018, but the locations have been swapped.
  18. ... and, this is how UB Athletics Innovation Incubator Company No. 001 was born. Only not robots in the stands, but drones in the air. Develop a system that provides mini drones that are rent-able from the venue, just like current seat tickets. Armed with cameras and microphones, the out of towner could catch any action they wanted. Spring for the high end version with speaker, and you can heckle anyone from anywhere. A cage to protect the players. A net to protect the fans, and seat sightlines. Collision avoidance software would be built in, to protect the drones from one another. The flight plan location user priority algorithm is still in development. It will prevent bottlenecks at premium viewing spots. Dogfights won't be tolerated. For an additional fee, the renter could enter a DRL sponsored race series; Halftime Under the Bleachers. TV broadcasting companies will require a cut of the revenue. But, this wouldn't just apply to UB Basketball during the break, it would be avaliable all season. UB Stadium could be outfitted with a similar system. In fact, it would be marketed to all sporting venues, everywhere. Profits for UB would increase from the individual rentals. Profits for UB Athletics Innovation Incubator Company No. 001 are unlimited for the entire system setup. Patent applications have been submitted. Who wants to join in this venture?
  19. I think allowing the NCAA to control a small portion of the scheduling does have merit. Continuous improvement requires occasional brainstorming sessions. Dismissing it off the cuff is appalling, imo.
  20. Unfortunately the request was for 'how do we improve', and not 'how did we get here'. So, another idea... Could the UBRewards app (the one I don't know much about) be extended to include Alumni in addition to current Students? Perhaps a 2X reward for living 500 miles away, 3X reward for 1k miles, and so on.
  21. Thank you Admin. My vague memory of him was highlighted by the drug charges. While it didn't change my vote, the quick search I just did, uncovered his work with Winning Because I Tried, and my opinion of Modie has changed for the better.
  22. Thanks rma, some of the graduated transplants are out of touch. ๐Ÿ˜ž
  23. I never made many non-UB local friends while in Buffalo. So, I'm not sure who I would have invited. But, what about continuing the same type of give-a-ways (free t-shirt to the first xxx) instead of student, to the first anyone (while the students are away). Armed with the appropriate attire, they could fill the student section, and at least look the part (even if they don't end up sounding the part).
  24. If their list plays out, it would mean remaining undefeated for 30 minutes longer than Furman. Love those 5:30, (edit: that's 8:30 for you east coasters...) start times...
  25. Thank you! I do... It not very different than asking about a tweet, is it?
