Wasn’t that heavily influenced by the difference in class size (quantity)? I’m not certain there has been much change in individual talent evaluation and retention. Time will tell…
One reason that Ford and Kelly are doing so well is that they have been starting since they were freshmen. That’s something Shawn Burke has always done… makes sure every class gets their share of experience. This season Simmons, Woods and Krohn are getting that valuable freshman experience.
A winning record may be important (no doubt), but don’t discount the game day experience… sight lines, scoreboard, food trucks, band/student involvement, the list goes on.
Didn’t see the need for a new thread.
Where are all the new recruits? This football season feels much more hush hush than what the mens basketball staff went through.
I never expected UB to maintain that goals for/against average against a program ranked in the top 10 in the nation Leading 1-nil at halftime was fantastic!
To me, Canisius was always going to present an easy way to get back in the win column. For this match to remain 0-0, currently at halftime, is… unexpected.
Sure. We all knew there was a large incoming class of transfers. We (well, I) wasn’t sure how many would actually compete. For the moment, I think this is a good sign.
Sept 10th, Oct 1st & Oct 22nd.
Women's Soccer has home games on the 11th, 2nd & 20th.
Volleyball has home games on the 9th, 30th, 1st, 20th & 21st.
Some great opportunities for out of towers to travel and support multiple sports on their trip.
How often is the team allowed to play international pre season games? Three games every third year, I think? That extra preparation and bonding time would be so nice for a team with so many new members this year.
I didn’t hear that, exactly. But, I did see that a former winning team (overseas elite?) made 7M from winning 4 years. Since only the winners get paid, that’s obviously more than 1M per year.
