I’ll start to get concerned when Harris stops shooting. He did skip it once to C.J. when he had the better shot but obviously that was more of a hot hand situation. He will have a game where he is 5 of 7 and all will be right in the world. Hopefully that will be soon.

Long history with Temple? I’m have to assume that statement is about the university taking Jewish holidays off because otherwise it makes no sense to me. We had some great games, in only one sport for a few years. There are a bunch of schools with long histories with the current membership of the AAC and UB is not one of them. And ADs don’t make conference choices, the presidents do. If AAC loses schools and needs to add, it would be most likely losing one or two of their northern schools (UC or UCONN) and filling with southern old rivals. And if they did want to go with a NE school they would give Army a sweetheart deal before even talking to UB. And why would UB want to join a conference that wide spread and where no alumni live? that extra tv money goes away really fast when the tennis team (and all the rest, not hating on the tennis team, their actually pretty great) needs a plane every week.

Except UB is maybe 5th on the AACs radar. If the conference had to dig that deep what exactly would be left there?

I kinda wanted to end Ohio’s MACC dreams ourselves like we did Miami but I’m not complaining.

More I think on it, screw a throphy, the 2 schools should buy a big boat. Loser gases it up, winner gets to decorate, alums and students get to cruise Lake Erie to games.

I for the most part like being a member of the MAC and I don’t see any better conference calling UB’s number ever, or at least anytime soon. my problem with the conference is we have no rivalry. And there is a built in cross division rivalry game with Toledo and Bowling Green. Why not move BGSU out west, and send EMU east. Because the annual BGSU vs TU game, football scheduling is not balanced. And if we are to develope a rival in this league EMU may be our best shot. CMU and WMU want nothing to do with them anyway and it wouldn’t hurt travel for any team that much. Build a trophy, assault their manhood’s and their moms, get it done! Akron will always have Kent, Miami will always have Ohio, call the MAC and get us a dancing partner.

I know we have WVU coming up but I’ve never heard of a season opener referred to as a trap game before. Just not a thing.

I wouldn’t close the book on this one yet. Just look at Ringo at Miami, announced transferring just to come back anyway. Last I checked, tho I’m sure there is other interest I haven’t seen any new offers.

Looks like German will be booted from the team at NIU and with other seniors leaving, that makes CJ the conference’s top returning scorer. NIU may not win a MAC game now... and UB now has 3 in the top 8 returning scorers

If temple some how finds a way to win the AAC, the MW has a few upsets ala a 2-3 loss winner, app st, Troy, n Texas don’t win out, UB, assuming we can win out, still has a shot at a NY6 bowl! Yeah, a lot of ifs but in the words of dumb and dumber “your telling me there is a chance!”

Didn’t want to start a new thread for this but ot, has anyone seen NIU’s schedule? Three games in 11 days? With travel across the country to play in a high altitude game to boot. If UB did that shit to its students, I’d probably cancel my donation. Wtf.

Depressing article for any decent mid major. But nothing we didn’t know already. Only so many seats at the table, why would you pull your chair out?. Looks like crappy weather. CMU has little offense, QB does run, which in a muddy game could be an equalizer. Very good defense, especially against the pass. We need to control the line of scrimmage, and play calling needs to be about UB winning and not TJ and AJ’s draft position. Pound the ball, then pound the ball some more, mostly short passing game. Tell Jackson upfront, your going to have 3-4 shots to rip it down field, make the most of them. The rest of the time we need to just beat this team up. I expect a close one. Homecoming I believe for CMU, I expect their best shot. Jackson is from the area so their will be some UB family and fans as well. UB 24 - CMU 13. Late score makes win seem more comfortable then in reality a game that could go either way late.

I know this isn’t breaking news, it happened a few days ago, but she got cleared from the NCAA to play right away. Will be a huge help in replacing Reid at PG. She and Dillard should make a dynamic back court. Props to the NCAA for doing something right for once.
