The main thing for me (and I could be very wrong) but it just seems like the players care more about personal achievement and highlight plays than actually winning. They talk a lot of trash and are cocky, we have seen multiple technical fouls because of this. It would be more bearable if their play matched their attitude but then they lose to teams like Canisius. I think I am one of the more optimistic people on this board and was being patient with Whitesell. So I loved watching them win yesterday, but then of course Williams and Segu do something stupid at the end to leave a bad taste in my mouth.

UB has such a big commuter population too, it shouldn't be hard o get them there. Not sure if others had similar experiences, but when I was there it seemed like a lot of people who were from the Buffalo area and commuted were just not into UB sports while most of the biggest fans were from other parts of the sate.

Yeah that isn't a lot for a MAC coach. Oats was making like 850k, which he obviously deserved. But let's not exaggerate here.

Good move, the defense was horrible last year with what I thought was a good amount of returning talent.

The only way a Northeast football conference sounds appealing to me is completely unrealistic with UB, Syracuse, Army, UConn, BC, UMass, Rutgers, Penn State, Temple, and Pitt.

Curtis Jones has looked really good tonight, he and Skogman seem to play with solid fundamentals and less flash that the older guys. Hopefully they become the leaders of the team next year.

I’m not sure where to put this so I guess I will put it here. Besides the fact that Whiteaell clearly can’t motivate this team to come out strong in a first half, I can’t stand how some of the players act on social media. I’m not that old yet (almost 30), but I am seeing players post pictures on IG stories of the game. What kind of attitude is this? It might just be this generation, but what is wrong with them? If my teams ever lost any games when I was younger, you bet your ass we were not posting pictures or highlights of the game anytime soon. Such a loser/selfish mentality. “We lost to a garbage team, but I had a good dunk so I want everyone on Instagram to see me look cool, who cares that we lost.” Maybe if this team was more focused on fundamentals and winning instead of highlights and social media they wouldn’t constantly come out flat thinking they are better than their opponents. Okay sorry, rant over.
