I'm sure he was authorized by the student athlete for a statement. He may or may not have had authorization from somebody in UB athletics to get creative with such a statement. I do not think the student athlete authorized him to forge an email and signature.

Million dollar question. My guess is the other player authorized a statement, HJ just forged it as a formality when submitting it to compliance.

It’s only if you get the good seats. If your tickets are for the 300’s or corner 200’s (Basketball) or outside of the slightly-less-terrible seats in football, you just technically pay for tickets.

Would have been hilarious if TSU won that last match (they lost 4-3). Arkansas would have needed to play at least two more matches after playing 12+ hours of tennis.

All full-member MAC schools, except Buffalo, are located in states that are coordinating efforts for reopening. AAC is at a huge disadvantage for that. Not that I think sports competitions will open for certain parts of the country and not others, but I could see practices/training starting on different schedules unless the NCAA steps in.

The MAC is in a somewhat good position because we aren't shuttling volleyball and soccer teams halfway across the US like a lot of the other G5 programs (and WVU) have to do. The MAC has the smallest geographic footprint of any FBS conference. But we don't have a ton of revenue either.

Any news on if/when we're getting a new assistant coach? With no Final Four this year and less coaching turnover, there's less D1 coaches/assistants looking for some place to land.

This sounds like something that a Buffalo Sabres GM would say. The reality is that games have evolved. You don’t have to lick your finger and put it to the wind to make decisions anymore. Coaches tend to go for the more risk averse option. The qualifier there being on sports radio. In reality, the decision to run a certain play (or to run a play at all) and the execution of certain plays are two completely separate clauses. Many times there are bad decisions run with good results, that does not make the decision to run that play any better in hindsight.

So since I have a data analytics background, I should only criticize coaches for the act of not going for it on 4th & 1, but not criticize their play call? I’m fine with that assessment if they stop punting or kicking on 4th & 1.
