Roster size is so small and their careers are so long (this isn't football where you'll play for only a few years) that a lot of the draft picks don't end up making the team.

Pitt doesn't have a lot of room in their schedule though. They have Backyard Brawl coming back and I imagine there's interest in continuing the PSU-Pitt rivalry. I'm indifferent on playing them. It would be nice to do a home and home but I'd prefer Syracuse or even a G5.

I appreciate the tax advice (really, not in the condescending way I normally am), but as a 20-something without a mortgage I am nowhere near the standard deduction level in itemized deductions. Good to know for the future if the tax code does not change though.

If you're going to donate $100 or more, you might as well upgrade your seats which require a donation. I donated (and keep my cheap seats) because there was a 2x match for young alumni, I previously donated to the MBB program, and any UB program that beats Ohio in the MAC Championship deserves some $$$.

So the infraction is that we gave him $20 for gas? As the news said, this is far from serious - in fact I wouldn't be surprised if stuff like this happens in other sports at UB. It's not like we accepted somebody with a welding certificate.

The good thing is that he still has a degree. The number of underclassmen that leave early, don't get drafted, and don't have degrees is larger than it should be.

I couldn't find if he officially signed with an agent but it looks like he has a few endorsement deals so he can't even go back to college ball if he wanted.

If he was sold on leaving UB, I'd rather have him enter the draft as a bull.

MAC is wide open this year. I’d expect Ohio to be the favorite in the east and Central in the west, but Miami is a huge wild card as is UB. Summer is the obvious star of the team, but Addy and Hanna can put up some numbers. Have a freshman or two step up and we don’t miss a beat.

I imagine Fair will be in the starting lineup next year.

The only one that would be a clear step up would be UNC, which just formally opened up days ago. Of note Megan Duffy (formerly Miami U's head coach) replaced Carolyn Kieger at Marquette. Kieger ended up taking the Penn State job after Felisha Legette-Jack was reportedly offered it. To give some indication of how good of a coach we have.

I hope that we could throttle them in football, but we're likely trending down (at least compared to last season) and Syracuse looks like they have the tools to put some continued success together.
