  1. Let’s hope. If we can’t beat Miami and CMU we have no shot at Kent. Enrique likes to say that this team is “much better” now than they were a few weeks back but I honestly don’t see it. The results speak for themselves.
  2. Did he yell “suck on this” while doing it? We have no idea.
  3. Predictions: We lose this game Zid becomes a superstar… at another school.
  4. Probably Elon banning you because you were suggesting he needed a Covid "shot".
  5. No offense to the guy but this seems like the right choice. JMU fans bitched nonstop about this guy’s play calling and honestly I didn’t witness a lot with UB that showed they were wrong. I wish him well but I’m looking forward to someone else calling the shots.
  6. We are going to lose games in the MAC but why would anyone be “happy” to be .500 when this conference is absolute garbage this year? We just lost by double digits to a team that is nearly in the 300’s. This is as bad a loss as Howard, statistically. Face the facts, without a massive change in play we have little chance to make any noise this year. it is what we all thought it would be. A rebuild year. We will learn nothing about the decision to maintain Whitesell until next year.
  7. I believe a bunch of the folks on here were complaining that we could have had someone like Steele if we decided to pull the plug and switch things up last year.
  8. I don't understand why you think that. Very few folks have been calling for his head this year (outside of 1 poster who would want him fired if he was 11-0 and ranked!). Many of us, myself included, called for his head last year since it was a perfect opportunity to pivot the program in a new direction, but now that we're stuck with him most of us feel that it wouldn't help the program in any way to change directions in the middle of a rebuild. The people on ubfan keep acting like there are constant posts about firing him and I really haven't seen that as the season has progressed. As for the "a few wins/good games" remark. I'm not sure what you're talking about there either. We were literally blown out by every good team we faced all season long. It hasn't been the roller coaster ride that many are implying in their remarks. As a matter of fact the consistency of our wins and losses is rather amazing considering how young this team is. Take a look at our games ranked by the Opponent's KenPom. When you listen to our fanbase we act like this is an unpredictable team with highs and lows but these rankings say otherwise. We are consistently middle-of-the-road, beating decent teams but not even competing against the big dogs. I was really hoping this team would find a way to win at least 1 of those big games since that is likely the only material benefit from playing a nonconference schedule like this. It didn't happen and imo the criticism is fair from fans, however it's all irrelevant now that we're in the MAC portion.
  9. I just want to point out my admiration for Jack too. He has some quick hands for a guy his size. There was one play where a pass was thrown low and between 2 defenders and he scooped and dished in about a millisecond. He's one of the better interior players I've ever seen in a UB uniform and that's saying something. Skogman who?
  10. It's always good to beat Ohio but Christ that shouldn't have been so intense at the end. Once again we went completely flat in the final minutes of the game and only survived because Ohio fell flat as well. We won't be so lucky against better MAC squads.
  11. Foster misses 3 of 4 FT's to finish them off and they go down and hit a 3 to make it a 2pt game... yikes!
  12. 3 total pre-game posts on ubfan, 25 fans in the stands, a 200th ranked squad... this is so sad compared to where we were a couple of years ago.
  13. Not sure how much the men have improved. Their first game against Colgate was one of their best wins of the season. They are erratic and young. Maybe it comes together in the next few months playing against one of the worst MACs in recent memory but I don't think we know anything about this team yet.
  14. If they bleed players in the off-season we should rethink our entire philosophy on coaching.
  15. So we’re gonna lose every one of our big games…
  16. So many players stepped up in the absence of others and made this game awesome. Hines and Offord were targeted the whole time and played lights out. They were my stars of the day. The D-Line also got some solid pressure on KVT too which they hadn't done against seemingly any MAC team this year. On top of that, it was awesome seeing Ahmed step up and carry the rock. He was a beast. All in all, it was NOT a disappointing season. I got my hopes up like many of you when they started 5-0 in the MAC but we went 7-6, won a bowl game, and were 2 ridiculous late comebacks away from being 9-4 and 7-1 in the conference. Granted those losses sucked, but it's amazing to see where the team is given the adversity they've faced in the last couple seasons. The future is bright. Let's hope Mo sticks around to see it through.
  17. Only weak point in this game besides any Snyder throw under 10 yards.
  18. Agreed. I'm thoroughly impressed with today's performance given what this team is up against. We've kept things simple and haven't been gambling on tough decisions like earlier in the season. It feels like Mo is starting to figure out this HC thing.
  19. This game is getting ugly. Our already porous secondary has been decimated by kids making poor decisions and we're taking on the 4th best passing offense in the country headed by our former starting QB. I'm not liking our chances.
  20. It was one of our best shooting nights of the whole year. We hit 3's, we hit jumpers, we looked pretty good in all areas. There's just no chance you can win a game when the refs are that terribly one-sided. Jack, Zid, and Foster were all in foul trouble not 10 minutes into the game. Bell got to the line every single friggin' time. He shot as many free throws as our entire team and the guys defending him, Smith and Jack, both fouled out before he even had 1 foul called against him. The whole thing was a crock of $hit since it could've been a GREAT game. We have the talent to keep up with these guys. We just need consistent shooting and Division 1 reffing.
  21. Maybe he should direct some of that "fire" at the refs as well. Nate or Bobby would've thrown a friggin' chair yesterday.
  22. The last 2 were a complete joke. Our 2 bigs both fouled out and their big just got his first foul with a couple minutes left. These refs threw the effing game.
  23. Now come the makeup calls as we’ve had to play with our arms behind our backs the entire game. Fvck these refs and the hillbillies.
