  1. My fellow Bulls fan don’t go. It’s not that serious. We all want the same thing. I’m simple saying there’s no reason to panick about Toledo losing. It’s just a difference of opinion. If this was February I would agree with you. But it literally is the last game of the season. The only thing that could drop us a seed is a loss. Doesn’t matter to who.
  2. 1) I’m pretty sure after their loss Toledo will remain a Q1 win. 2) Math and metrics math and metric...what do your eyes tell you? At this point...the last game of the season...you can put aside the numbers. If your fear is playing NIU in the finals and in beating them our seed will suffer I highly disagree. At this point I think it’s irrelevant who we play that last game. Just win. Be 31-3 and the committee won’t screw is over. They won’t be like oh but you only beat NIU in the finals. It’s body of work.
  3. It would be the last game before the big dance. I mean are we really acting like whoever we would play is the end of the world? Come on. We have proven we are not just some mid major team. Plus Toledo is not a Q1 team. The are a Q2. And the main reason we moved up in Kenpom was bc of our efficiency today. Not bc of who we beat. But how we beat them. So by that theory playing a lesser team we should steam roll them as opposed to playing a tougher team.
  4. 1) we aren’t playing them in the finals yet. 2) at 31-3 Mac regular and postseason champs to me would trump metrics. That’s the eye test. And that to me should net us a 5 seed. No worse than a 6. 3) regardless of who we play we should win so a loss to any team in the championship game would look bad. 4) at some point the metrics get thrown out and you say damn this Buffalo team is good.
  5. Why is it not good? If anything it makes our loss to them look better. Are you afraid of NIU?
  6. https://buffalonews.com/2019/03/14/nate-oats-ub-agree-to-contract-extension/ Full details on the contract down to every last dollar. It may not seem overwhelming on the surface and the buy out isn’t high, I just hope there was some verbal agreement that we will put more resources into the basketball program. For let’s say umm a new practice facility. At any rate I think this keeps Oats here for one more year. But it won’t stop P5 teams from trying to poach coach.

  9. They each present different styles. At least with Kent we know what we are getting. CMU can score in bunches while Kent is more of a drag it out type. If we play like today it won’t matter whose next. How about the CMU sweep tomorrow!
  10. If, if, we were to get knocked out of the MAC tournament us not getting an at large would be the biggest injustice ever. There’s no way we won’t get an at large.
  11. Dontay woke this team up. What a start by him bring the energy and hustle.
  12. Yea I think we may be distracted with some very important games hehe
  13. No doubt when the bracket came out I said we potentially would have the toughest road if chalk walked. Even if CMU beats Kent, they are tough. Buckle up nothing will be easy.
  14. A win here would be a great resume booster and bust the tournament doors wide open. A championship caliber game in the semi. Go Bulls!
  15. They fouled up 3 for two straight possessions both teams hit their free throws then inexplicably with 5 seconds left they didn’t foul and bang CMU hit the tying 3 at the horn. The rest was history. Demoralizing loss. Time for the ladies to start this off right.
  16. The first game is always the toughest bc of expectations and nerves. You know what I would like to see UB do, apply token pressure to Akron’s primary ball handler as they bring the ball up court. Akron wants to slow the tempo so why not slow them down even more. Delay them getting into their offensive sets and maybe they will make mistakes. It’s not an all out press just token pressure to make them waste time. Other than that defend the perimeter and limit turnovers. Go Bulls!
  17. They might pull a groin having to make sharp cuts lol
  18. No ill will towards Reggie. Yea he couldn’t get over the hump and the latter years got stale. But he was always a class act. In the moment, especially as a student at the time, it was frustrating not to be able to win but our success now has made the past easier to swallow.
  19. Akron round 3. Akron is a 3 and D team. Lately in a few game including tonight they’ve hit the 3 ball. Although I don’t expect them to shoot lights out as they did tonight, we know they can play defense. Value the ball and defend the perimeter and we should be fine. Nothing will be easy so let’s take it. Go Bulls!
  20. It’s a bad look no doubt. But it’s all growing pains. This levels of success and everything that comes with it is new to everyone. Including staff at alumni and the athletics department. One can only hope going forward that our advertising is current and that we do a better job in all facets of the game day and pregame experience. These are all the little things we need to be better at that separate us from other schools.
  21. I'm sure the buyout clause will be very high. Which might scare off teams from talking to Nate within the first few years of that contract. Administration isn't stupid, they are gonna protect themselves too.
