  1. Did not know Dillard was under the weather but unfortunately they don’t have anyone to replace her in the lineup at the present. UB really has to up their overall game to have a chance in Cleveland. Go Bulls!!!!
  2. Just staying to the end benefits the fan that wants to enjoy the entire game and even after atmosphere. Seeing it on the app is if you are not there in person. But to each is own and different strokes for different folks. Just happy we are getting more fans than ever to attend games and support our team. Go Bulls!!!!
  3. A tough road loss to a Akron tam that has not been very good this year. Another bad shooting night for Dillard, 3-22!!! As I said before the blueprint against Dillard is to pressure her all over the court and be physical and just wear her down and if she gets most of her points from the foul line then so be it. Another game where the supporting players had sub par games. Now it looks like they are in a dogfight for the 4th seed for Cleveland. Hope the fans come out for the remaining home games to support the team. I don’t even want to think what the team will be like without Dillard next year. Go Bulls!!!!
  4. A great all around game by UB. They took a page out of the men’s game. Destroyed Ball State. They got back to their defensive intensity that was missing for quite a few games. No reason why Hemphill can’t average double doubles in the remaining games but she has to stay out of foul trouble. The loss to Bowling Green who was 0-10 was hopefully a big wake up call. They need to win at Akron on Sat and then will have a tough matchup against Ohio. Go Bulls!!!!!
  5. Another great listen with cbs sports. Wow, when you have a winning program and settings records in the MAC and winning in March the national exposure follows even if you are a mid major. Go Bulls!!!!!
  6. Again everyone has their own personal perspective on what is important. Paying homage is a unique way of putting it. We appreciate athletic talent for what it is but don’t put anyone on a pedestal. We just enjoy the sport for what it is. Giving us some enjoyment and forgetting about the everyday happenings in life. Go Bulls!!!!
  7. Not all fans are created the same and everyone has different ideas on what is most important. That will never change. Heck I have seen fans leave professional sporting events when the game is in doubt and they still leave to beat the traffic. Our family have always wanted to enjoy every minute of a game no matter how close or if a blowout. These last few years we just want to soak up every enjoyable minute we can. As they say “different strokes for different folks.” Go Bulls!!!!!
  8. Do not dislike any player. You are right that we will never know if Navigato stayed here how he would of turned out. That’s the dilemma for a player when there is a coaching change if he should stay or go. These are all young kids who have to decide what is best for them and probably get a lot of input from family and friends. Go Bulls!!!!!
  9. Agree 100%. Very important to express to Mark Alnutt either in person, email or other forum to retain Nate and this coaching staff. The amount of revenue increase from the last number of years in ticket sales, concessions and apparel sales has to be unprecedented and we need to keep this momentum going. Go Bulls!!!!
  10. I think it took us just about the entire 1st half to adjust to Kent’s defensive intensity. We really have not seen that kind of total team defense. The 2nd half we played better team defense and when Kent started missing we were able to get out in our transition offense. I believe we had only 3 turnovers in the 2nd half. We had 13 steals and held Walker and Whittington in check. Avery was a non factor and he did look like his ankle was bothering him as he was not moving around like he usually does. When Caruthers has a tough off night and Harris still can not buy a 3 pointer and Graves has a tough night shooting and we still win by 23 is a testament to our entire team and the defensive pressure they put on against any team. Hope that CJ’s ankle is okay. Williams and Segu still adjusting to D1 play. The biggest thing I see is they still play out of control and are trying to make plays going 100 miles an hour. Hope with some more experience and maturity and coaching they can improve. Looking forward to Tues and another sellout. Go Bulls!!!!
  11. I am with you. Our family wants to enjoy every minute of this run. Fans leave early sometimes no matter what the score. We all know what it is like getting out of these parking lots. We park in a different lot than most and always wait around in the arena and chit chat with some other fans about the game and general chatter about the team. We are never in a hurry to leave but we are in the minority. Hey, people have been leaving sporting events early for years. We are savoring every minute and soaking up all the great vibes we can. Go Bulls!!!!
  12. Right on the money Enrique14150. The Kent defense was the best I have seen all year. As you said they were aggressive, quick with their player rotations and as usual very physical and tough on the boards. They took us out of our offensive flow in the 1st half along with us missing some shots right around the basket. The 8 point burst was big, big, big and changed the momentum not only for the team but for the crowd big time. Another great crowd and enjoying every moment. Will have another recap tomorrow and what a time to be a UB fan. Go Bulls!!!!
  13. Has anyone ever won both awards in the same year?? Boy that would be something!!!! Go Bulls!!!
  14. Do agree with your analysis. Hall in too many games is not in the offense flow at all. She dribbles the ball up and just passes to another player without really looking to penetrate or looking for a shot. Finess Dickson has been getting increased playing time on the point and has some flashes of good play but plays like a freshman. The recipe by the other teams is put ball pressure on Dillard and double team her during the game. It’s is imperative for Hemphill to have good games on the offensive end and get contributions from several other players in order to compete against CMU, Miami and Ohio. We just have to have a different defensive strategy when playing these teams who have more quickness and height. Do have confidence in this team and am looking forward to the remaining games. Go Bulls!!!!!
  15. Your not the guy way in the back on your cell phone are you???? Just joking!! Do agree when we were first starting to take the conference by storm maybe there was more chanting and total jubilation. But now we are getting so many more fans that have not been here for years that the dynamic is a little different. Still a great time and looking around the packed arena is a sight to behold. Go Bulls!!!!!
  16. If he does not win the 6th man of the year he should have a shot at defensive player of the year. Go Bulls!!!!
  17. Our family thought the same thing. He looked like he put on a lot of weight and was very slow. How about O’Field. He never did pan out at Arizona State. You just never know about players if they are going to turn out to be good/great college players. Go Bulls!!!!!
  18. Do understand it is good conversation and good insights. A number of sports media types talked about this topic today and most thought the 18 year old rule is okay and that these 18 year olds should be able to go to the NBA if they so desired. most of these kids would have to go to the G league first and I not sure if totally true but on average they make around $100,000 and not sure how long that is for. I am sure there will still be enough kids that will want to get an education and play basketball on a scholarship. Go Bulls!!!!!!
  19. I think we really have to take a step back and let this play out. The NBA has a lot of smart, intelligent people running their league. The number of 18 year olds that would truly be ready to jump to the NBA will be minimal as far as overall numbers. The majority of college players that make it to the NBA are so minimal that there would still be many players to recruit. Go Bulls!!
  20. if we can get wins against Ohio and Miami of course winning against the lower teams in conference we should be in good shape. I still contend that we have to somehow negate or limit Frost and put more ball pressure on Hudson in order to succeed against CMU. But we can compete against them if we play close to how we played against Ball State .Have confidence in this team. Go Bulls!!!!
  21. Thanks, The excitement and thrills we have experienced these last few years will be memories that will last a lifetime. Go Bulls!!!!
  22. Also saw it and just a nice behind the scenes look showing these players are just like all of us. BEing able to make friendships that can last a lifetime and knowing you never know when your paths will cross. Go Bulls!!!!!
  23. It looks like the top three coaches receive a combined $600K to their charities. Does not say anything after the top three awards?? Nate is still in fourth place. It’s time for all us UB supporters to put our game face on and vote. Go Bulls!!!!!
  24. It will probably come down to the BG/UB game for 1st in conference. The remaining BG schedule is Miami and Kent State at home. Away games at Ohio, Akron and UB with Miami the only team to beat BG so far. Go Bulls!!!!!
  25. Another cool article with Nate and UB included. PAY THE MAN should be sent to Mark Alnutt and hope he is already putting together a package for Nate. Go Bulls!!!!
