I'm still intrigued by where this season will go, through the first 2 games I saw an engaged coaching staff from whitesell on down the entire game. I hadn't seen that before Strangely even after the ugly home loss to James Madison, I'm more confident now the team is heading in a positive direction than at any point before in Jim's coaching tenure

I still believe if hodgson number one goal was to become a head coach, staying at UB was the quickest way If he had stayed and continued to recruit at the level they were recruiting he would have been hired away the next season no matter what

This game could be ugly, UB has no bigs. UConn is going to get everything they want offensively What UB needs to do is hit their shots and get to the foul line, they do that and it will be a ball game They shouldn't be taken surprised when teams will do the exact same defense James Madison did going forward. So hopefully they are prepared for it

If the James Madison game becomes a theme of the season I think everyone will be on the same page However while that game sucked, the team fought and put forth effort throughout the entire game. That tells me they trust and believe in the coaching staff It was a team that's played 1 game together vs a team returning 4 starters couple that with a putrid shooting night and you get a massive blow out

I never said it was good defense Said it was a good sign that they are still fighting and getting after it, because when the pace slows, fouls get called and your shots don't fall some teams tend to pack it in and go home early

I think the frantic unorganized look is more about lack of experience playing with each other, expect it to naturally clean up as they play together

Curious to see a team like Colgate adjust to it, but I expect the defense to only get better Team looks like they need more game action together and maybe a big (having chatman would help)
