We weren't a very good team or seemingly posed a threat but after nearly pulling off an upset of a top 5 team, I think teams got scared Plus I believe those were the times when Niagara falls was sending guys to top power conference teams yearly and that brought teams like uconn to the area

The UConn game is still one of if not the loudest buildings I've been apart of Remember UConn trying to inbound a ball with seconds remaining and thinking alumni was about to collapse

If hodgson is there more than 2 seasons I'll be jealous Think he bolts for any power conference job as soon as this off season I'm glad to see him doing well though I always root for Western New York guys

I'll say this about the game yesterday and the previous couple Up until yesterday I had little belief that the team next would even be as good as this years team but starting to see actual flashes of player improvement Started with fulcher a while ago but now seeing it in Zakir and Wilson as well Also have seen more organized and structured play comparatively (I think the short bench kind of forced this to happen though) Long ways to go but it's a start

Agree if SMU came calling he would have left for reasons stated But he never did a ton at Georgia st on paper, so I wonder if he went looking rather than SMU coming to him. But who knows that

Off topic kind of but watching Memphis vs SMU Rob Lanier is coaching SMU now and looks to have his team going When ub originally hired Whitesell, it was rumored they were close to hiring Lanier but he ended up going to Georgia st instead I wonder if Lanier would have left UB for SMU or if he would have stuck around That might have been the big miss in hiring by alnutt in hindsight

Second time today coach looked angry Not sure what it means but it's different

I don't think I've watched a team that is so consistent when one thing goes wrong, everyone throws everything out and it snowballs so quick

Couldn't tell if he was fired up or angry The rest of the team was congratulating him though

He has always shown flashes on offense, just needs his defense awareness to pick up Liked how they were running the offense through him though the last couple minutes

Like a lead I understand why coach called a time out there (and generally think it was smart given how the season has gone) but fulcher has been cooking and wanted to see him take it with NIU on their heels

Liking Wilson a bit recently starting to play with a little more confidence, doesn't look as lost
