  1. Primary PF for Sam Houston. Their center may be done with his eligibility...so possible he goes there. https://www.sports-reference.com/cbb/players/cameron-huefner-1.html Possible he goes to North Alabama or Jacksonville St to be much closer to home.
  2. I did some checking the first four teams just recently got portal commits at PF. Maybe he goes to New Mexico State or one of the more teams.
  3. I agree , would welcome Jo back. Have some competition though.
  4. I agree, Halcovage will need to improve team performance in these areas as well.
  5. There is still one player to add, but I would not be surprised to see all preseason rankings showing little change from this past season. Halcovage has added players that I would imagine are hard to predict how they will play. Ultimately we may see, next March, they were spot on and that you are right about Halcovage. I approach being a fan a little differently than you. I am going to hope for the best. That means improved shooting from 3, fewer turnovers, better defense (critical!) and a more team oriented approach. I will wait to see if my hope is rewarded. Time will tell.
  6. Here is sampling of some PF/C per Barttorvik. We have been in touch with Ndur, who is from Canada!
  7. I was wondering if this would happen when commit from Kavon. Fulcher did not seem to fit with potential emphasis on 3 point shooting. Now maybe they pick up a little more size.
  8. Some very positive words about this young man. Comments run the gamut from he will red shirt to he could start. We will see how he and the other four class of 24 players stack up. November and December will be very informative. In the meantime, I will be wearing my rose colored glasses.
  9. Personally I was hoping for some size that could help this year rather than a potential red shirt. I guess that Oboh is likely to get roughly 15 minutes. Hope he can produce on par with Jack. Hard to gauge how he will fare until we see action in November.
  10. https://ubbulls.com/news/2024/4/25/football-nickel-city-collective-launches-as-nil-collective-for-ub-student-athletes.aspx
  11. I do feel they will be a better team, despite not having players with as much individual talent as a few of the departed players. It is for that very reason, it is essential that the coaching staff instills team play and willingness to share the ball. It also imperative that they bring defensive intensity game in and game out.
  12. I may be misguided - if we are going for Villanova model (48% of FGA from 3), then I think you go for someone with size who can shoot the 3. Too bad we didn't have some NIL bucks to get Skogman back here! Add that to Sabol, Boldin and Batchelor, and my vote for most improved Wilson and I think offensively this team will be improved. The concern I have is they have to improve defensively as well.
  13. That is 'mighty' good news! Sorry couldn't help myself.
  14. For sure, and don't forget about D2/D3 players.
  15. They don't have to be committed, just in the portal by May 1st. But with 1200+ ( 3+ available transfers per D1 team) not committed, I suspect some will end up in JUCO or dropping down a level.
  16. I am sure you are right, Here is a summary of the transfer portal based on verbalcommits.com. These numbers are 'as is' I have not attempted to correct. I know of at least one gap in vc data - they still show Adams as not committed. At this point, almost 1/3rd of all transfers have committed. Of the 1/3rd committed, 6% have decided to return back to their old team. The MAC has had a total of 66 players enter the portal, with 24% of them committing to date (2 returning to their original school). I think the deadline is one week from today to file the paperwork to go into the portal.
  17. Kent retains Davis...good for the MAC to get some of the better players to stay put.
  18. If you mean Quintin Cooper, the answer is yes, unfortunately.
  19. Another player from Canada! Didn't get much playing time in two years at BC. BC just picked up Chad Venning from Bona.
  20. I didnt fully explain. The list of players are somewhat in line with the player who heard from UB, Ndur, and the kind of player I am thinking they would like to get. Especially the ones who have shot the 3 with a little success. It does seem like with Ndur they were somewhat in line with replacing Jo's production. Sorry the chart was not too easy to make out. Having posted that list, I can almost guarantee who they pick up won't be on it. I was kind of interested in Batchelor's teammate, especially since I saw him working the 3s into his routine.
  21. I was thinking the staff was going to go for size with two remaining scholarships. I wouldn't be surprised if UB is no longer in the mix.
  22. One thing that won't change for Adams with this transfer - he won't be on a MAC championship team! 😁
  23. I actually expect him to bounce back after a tough year. FWIW, here is what the barttorvik.com roster cast tool estimates the impact of the Isaiah Adams commit:
  24. Per Barttorvik.com here is what I see in terms of SR PF/C available similar to Malachi Ndur who UB has contacted. You can see that Malachi Ndur stats are similar to Smith's although he played fewer minutes. Here is a chart of all available PF/C by PRPG! and prior team rank: The 'purple' dot is Ndur and 'aqua' dots are seniors. This I hope gives some perspective as to level we are targeting vs what is available.
