Lots of ups and downs this season we looked really good for pretty much the whole second half of season. I was convinced they were going back to the dance until they layed an egg in the Mac championship game. NIT was a nice consolidation considering but once again performance was just not where it needed to be with no defense and too many turnovers. To me the biggest suprise of the season was the underperformance of Jayvon graves. There was a lot of talk about him being Mac player of the year, and he came well far from that. He’s shooting was atrocious for most of the year, and his free throw shooting fell to a career low when you would expect some improvement there. At times he looked lost even on defensive end also. Can blame it on COVID, but I really don’t know about that. If anyone saw his Kent state overtime performance his junior year he never showed any glimpse of that this year. We definitely need another starting capable PG, our lack of depth at that position def hurt us this year also. Hopefully Whitesell can land some guys this off-season.

After the lows of the embarrassment last night makes today a little easier of a pill to swallow that they were atleast able to get into NIT. This team will have plenty of rest so legs should not be an excuse for this game. They have the talent to make a little run here, now the question is which Buffalo team will show up.

Yep and guys off the bench who can score also. We really had no significant contributions off the bench the entire year. You need to have 2 or 3 impact players off the bench to be a great team...

Preston will not be in nba not as good as these shitty announcers said he was. He’s too slow to play at guard in nba level.

Not having a bench I think really hurt also in the end. You can see guys were really gassed to be able to play the level of defense and offense needed to make the come back..

Tired of ESPN pumping Preston the entire game. I don’t see Ohio winning tourney game, they don’t have the level of athleticism. Preston can carry a bit but they don’t have any post presence to get it done.

Completely agree w everything you said. He really looks lost out there. I remember watching game last year against Kent state where he was hitting difficult 3 after difficult 3. Took over the game and got us a win in overtime. Haven’t seen even 1 game with even a resemblance of same player. I don’t get it, it’s crazy to think he was talking about going to nba draft. Maybe that got into his head who knows.
