  1. Any idea what the deal is with Pippen?
  2. Yeah, they packed it in before they even started today.
  3. Good to know. I just had to tell my company to change it on my corporate resume. I guess Of is the more typical setup.
  4. Among other things, it’s March so his team will basically be what it is during COVID so 2021 is a lost season for whomever. So maybe you get 2 more years after that so he burns the next 3 years. Once the experiment fails again he’s on the block as a good D3 and lower level D1 coach, so major conferences will shy away. Then does 3 more years at a Buffalo/Liberty and maybe gets another major conference shot. By then, teams will be hiring the next great 25 year old grad assistant that the next “hot thing”. He’s got a strong UB team coming back. Another 8-10 win season and he will be in demand for better than Illinois or Kansas. in my humble opinion or course.
  5. You guys want Hurley back? He may be on the block soon. ASU got stomped by an 11-12 Utah team today.
  6. Class act they hired. First sentence says University of Buffalo. Guess they forgot who they were working for...
  7. If you are referring to mine, I never said the criticism wasn’t warranted, but I’m asking now at the end of the season and the way they finished (and we will see how the tournament goes) where people stand on Whitesell. Has he earned another year or should he be ousted. I just sat yesterday that Donyell Marshall was fired at Central Connecticut. He was 40-104. I sure don’t want that either, but he was a name brand with limited experience. Not unlike Hurley. Luckily Hurley worked out good enough for us and he got the big gig in AZ, but is struggling. We found lightning in a bottle with Oats and he is the real deal based upon his performance at Alabama. Maybe there’s another Oats out there is another Oats out there, but there a lot of people that look good in the interview that don’t do it on the court. If they lose to Miami, then definitely they should consider moving on. Anything else, I give him another year. My main concern is recruiting and who’s the next Bull in. That’s how you sustain the momentum so another year of duds and that may spell his downfall too. We were also pretty fortunate not to be the cause of many cancellations, I believe we were only the cause 1 time this year, so kudos to the payers and coaches for staying vigilant.
  8. If he wins the tournament or what if they lose in the finals? Would you propose he be fired? What result, if any, would it take for you to believe he was worthy to keep his job?
  9. That a little Letterkenny reference?
  10. Shooters are streaky and confidence is a big part of it. Tough to dig out when you aren’t making them
  11. As ugly as this is, we are still likely to top 80 and push 90, amazing honestly.
  12. He probably reads this site 😂
  13. Not a great game for sure, but a week ago we were bemoaning that we can’t beat a team with a winning record. We said we would be lucky to win 1 of these 3 games. We are now on brink of 3-0 securing the 2nd see and we are still perceived as no good. I’m feeling good about this team. They had 2 great weeks and playing their worst effort in a while have a 15 point lead now. I guess we will see how it goes next week, but this team delivered what nobody gave them a chance to do.
  14. Is there an officiating conspiracy against UB? Our players have 2-3 players on them inside hands flailing ball, skin, head whatever, no call. But doesn’t work both ways. Not just today but seems like a theme that doesn’t seem right.
  15. Not an excuse, but it’s hard to play a less talented team that plays scrappy. It’s a different rhythm and we haven’t figured it out
  16. That would be a nice addition. I have a feeling our passing game is going to need to be a bit more prominent this season.
  17. Sounds like we have some solid contributors returning, which is nice for our leadership and bridging to the young guys coming in. Not sure when the grad student from Wisconsin is coming in, but would be nice if he could be there for spring practice.
  18. He needs to look at some of the post-UB careers of our players and not just the #1 player. We have groups that go 4-5 deep playing oversees making great, tax free money. Have an awesome college career where he can be dominate and be loved by the crowd at home could be a big selling point. Look at Mballa, Williams, Segu. Swap Graves for Lightfoot and some of our bench guys taking another step and that's quite a group. And we haven't factored in Zaakir. Could be a special season.
  19. I live in VA so I’m planning to go to the ODU game. Hopefully a better result than the Liberty game down here a few years ago. Cool part if that I got to tailgate with some players parents so that was nice!
  20. Agreed, from the games I've watched that has been a frustration point for me. Her talent is unquestionable, but need to get others involved to keep from 4 people watching her play the game. Its incumbent on her to recognize when that is happening as much as the coaches and other players. No player will be "on" every game, so they need to all contribute, even if she is the main contributor. That's one thing I thought Dillard was exception at. She was obviously the best on the floor, but she was able to keep her teammates engaged. Hopefully they can solve that. Also with some of the incoming player having good pedigrees, that will help elevate the entire team. Go Bulls!!
  21. From one of the latest mock drafts I saw 2 RB taken in the first round, but both late. If that’s the case JP may be a late 2nd or 3rd round pick. We will see how it plays out. Hopefully he ends up in a place that has a good OL and can flourish. I also hope he has been working on his pass catching as that is a requirement at the next level to go with the running and blocking.
  22. Didn't realize the Niagara Falls angle, but that helps. I saw Kansas, so must be prep school like a lot of these guys. Home cooking can really help the process!
  23. Hopefully we can keep up the solid play, but the suffocating defense and transition offense we play is exciting and what a lot of kids would like to be part of. Not sure who our major recruiter is at this point, but I'm excited hearing this news. Let's keep it up for the rest of the season and into the tournament. Go Bulls!!
  24. Agreed, but that is some solid company to be part of that 5. Fingers crossed that he sees something in Buffalo that sets us apart and keeps things moving forward with the program.
