  2. Very true, she is able to find some very talented people for sure. Paige Kohler, from last year's recruiting class that completely bailed out, is a legitimate PG star at BG, so BB was right about her for sure.
  3. Maybe Hurley recommended him.
  4. Maybe. The other two may have been encouraged to enter.
  5. Wow, Ogden is a surprise. The other 2 maybe not as much since freshman and transfers are coming in at their positions. That opens things up a bit. in other news, Syracuse women is losing one of their solid freshman to the portal too. Nobody is above the portal.
  6. I guess they were impressed with his hustle, defensive abilities and what a great teammate he was.
  7. 6’5 would play well in the MAC. The unfortunate part would mean someone would have to go.
  8. Certainly an interesting choice. Former HS or AAU connection involved? If not it seems like NIL would be the most likely bet.
  9. Word on the street was Stutzman wanted more for his guys, better AT support, better academic support, etc. He was probably a squeaky wheel, but from what I have heard, it was about fighting for the guys, not himself. He had a 2-year contract that was no renewed last season, so I'm guessing ADMA was likely frustrated with the complaints, but if the Olympic sports don't get the support they need, I would want a coach that stands up for that.
  10. 100% agree. Talent in the locker room wasn't the problem, talent on the sideline and in the booth was suspect.
  11. So, if we were all out at a bar, we would be 50/50 in going home with someone attractive? 😂
  12. Lembo has mentioned Lafayette several times already so I think he is keeping them from of mind as they prepare. He knows what can come up and bite you. I am also hopeful for a 1-0 start.
  13. Interesting, but I was also expecting his named to be called somewhere.
  14. Not sure if it means anything, but AJ Boldin responded to this with 2 black hearts:
  15. We had a lot of talent on the field, but much less on the sideline. We kept 95% of the team and all the recruits. I really think this could be an 8 win team given the improved staff
  16. I have heard similar sentiments. I believe one of the quotes was that a "weight was lifted". Sounds like it was not much fun and everyone was afraid to make a mistake, which of course, typically leads to more mistakes. If in fact he was overseeing the offense, that would explain why it looked the way it did. He has minimal offensive experience and trying to be an OC as a defensive guy is usually a terrible idea.
  17. I think the lack of NIL will be a bit of a hinderance to that vision. I think that may be why he is focusing on some higher level D2 and Ivy guys where UB has some better prospects for them and money may not be the carrot they need (not that money isn't nice).
  18. Understand that, but that buyout could have been bigger and they also should have spent on a better candidate. We were in a position to actually start at a plateau point and then advance forward. JW offered some stability and likely preservation of the roster, but it basically caused us to stay at that plateau without moving up. I also am not talking about BH, I am talking about a competent HC with a winning history where UB would have been a step up and then he could have advanced to that next level. It didn't happen, so here we are.
  19. I'm with you on all counts, let's hope for the best!
  20. Well there you go, if that happens. Mid/low level college football is dead. Back to a pseudo rec sport.
  21. The workmans comp insurance on a football player has to be daunting, especially for 85 of them plus all the other guys. It would likely limit opportunity and rosters would likely get smaller. You can't pay premiums on dead wood because they can get hurt on the practice field as well.
  22. I agree with this assessment. Unfortunately, in our instant gratification society, it's hard to wait 3 years. I'm a Bulls fan for life, so 3 years is nothing 😂
