  1. What a huge W. Great job by the team and Leipold/staff. No one could predict that coming off Liberty. The only bummer was seeing a Bulls player injured on what seemed like every other play the last 3 mins. I think Nuun was hurt too.
  2. Special teams are huge. UB freshman hits a 52-yard FG. Temple botches a punt snap that sets up UB for a short TD.
  3. Yeesh, sparse looking crowd on the kickoff.
  4. Usually, a good Oline and RBs travel well, but Liberty’s Dline won the battle. Didn’t see that coming. Nor did I see the up-tempo offense by LU dominating what is supposed to be a good Bulls D. Just one of those games. They really wanted it more than the Bulls. I’d consider Liberty the caliber of a mediocre MAC team so this doesn’t bode well.
  5. the receivers are subpar. Myers has no help. They weren’t able to recover from losses like AJ, KJ, Mabry, Jones, etc. I mean they have McDuffie and Dom Johnson out there. The best TE is hurt. No other WRs are stepping up
  6. Liberty has 2 guys to worry about (QB & WR) and they let them both go off in the 1st half. Ugh.
  7. Terrible opening drive given up by the D. Then O misses a short FG. The Bulls look really slow tonight, or maybe Liberty is playing fast early. Gotta pick up the pace and play harder.
  8. The Temple-Maryland game today has had more botched/strange special teams plays in the 1st quarter than you’ll see all season.
  9. Tyree's got a ways to go to make anyone's practice squad. In that final preseason game the Bills staff had to line him up in shotgun every play....just to give him a chance to scan the field and get the ball off. If a QB cannot play at all under center, he's not going to make it in the pros. Hopefully the game slows down for him, but he needs another club to give him that shot.
  10. Based on the preseason practices and games seems like Dolegala was way better. Not even close. Cinci already has a promising rookie backup (Ryan Finley) and they still had to keep this guy on the final 53 out of fear of losing him. as for the Bills, they are so set with Allen and Barkley, I think they threw Tyree and UB a bone. They can steal a #3 QB from some other club. Maybe even Dolegala someday. I’m sure in practice reps Tyree looked pretty good and flashed that arm strength. But man, in games he could not make quick enough decisions. Unless he is told where to throw the ball, his instincts to deviate from the plan and find the hot receiver, quickly, were terrible. And he’d throw to guys that were blanketed.
  11. Yeah true. The media guy that put it on Twitter corrected himself to say as long as he clears waivers, the Cards plan to place Drew on the practice squad. also of note, Jake Dolegala, the local (Hamburg?) QB who was at the UB Pro day with Tyree actually made the Cincinnati 53-man roster. He had an awesome preseason. I believe he played at FCS school CCSU. and Chad Kelly made it on the Colts.
  12. **Update- Tyree got cut from the Bills. Former Bulls QB Drew Anderson made the Cardinals practice squad. Another former Bull, Demone Harris, made the Tampa Bay 53 man roster as an OLB.
  13. The game went exactly as i thought it would, as mentioned in the Bull Run prediction thread. O-line and RB's are the strength. D is solid. I think LL rolled in a lot of inexperienced players throughout the game to get them some PT. The starting D looked a bit disinterested with a weak FCS opponent on the other side. The WR's seemed non-existent. Without AJ , KJ, Jones, etc... there is a huge void there. Hopefully Nunn is back healthy soon. I like Myers alot. Obviously he was jittery in his first start, he showed some wheels and a decent ability to throw the ball. One deep corner pass to the end zone was there, the WR laid out and it went right through his arms, ugh. Not sure they will be able to run well against Penn State and a massive D-Line, so if they can't get some passing mixed in that game will be a throttling.
  14. Wow, i was hoping Myers would impress enough to be the guy. I like the dual threat ability. I think it's important in the MAC especially for a young guy, to have some wheels.
  15. The performance of the new QB's is a huge question mark. I'd say anything north of 6-6 would be solid.
  16. After this game, I hope Tyree gets another chance. Because he couldn’t hit the bomb, a slant, a touch pass or a fade pass. Woefully inadequate. The Bills are giving him a great chance and some solid game time these past 2 weeks. Ugh. From what I’ve seen he’s not practice squad material at this moment. Sorry to be harsh.
  17. Tyree scrambling well in Carolina but having a rough time throwing the ball with any accuracy. He dumped one off to the Rugby player who went 47 yards. more importantly, Bills CB Cam Lewis was taken off the field on a stretcher on a cart. Neck immobilized.
  18. I usually have a pretty good idea about the outlook for the team but this year I'm clueless. I feel like 6-6 would be a decent record for this club. If we have a breakout QB and some WR's show up big maybe 7 or 8 wins?!? If the QB's under-perform and/or we have a big injury or two it could be a 3-4 win season. I'm hoping the D comes up huge.
  19. Cool. Hope Drew does well out in AZ. I noticed on Friday a Murray State LB got drafted late 3rd round (98th) by Jacksonville. Turns out the player was so under the radar that the draft broadcasts didn’t even have a highlight reel of him to show. He wasn’t among 730 players on one draft analysts big board. It’s kind of the opposite of the UB draft saga. anyway this player is Quincy Williams, brother of Jets first round pick Quinnen Willams. He’s undersized but a hard hitter who had 231 career tackles.
  20. Still don’t get the Anthony Johnson thing. He has NFL hands, an NFL body and awareness of how to position his body. He doesn’t have super speed but is fast enough. He should’ve been drafted before any of them. Tyree, I get why he dropped based on the second half of the season. Too many passes skipped off the ground or sailed way over the heads of receivers. That idiot Steve Smith coming down from the TV booth and lecturing Tyree on how to better throw a slant probably didn’t help much either. May not have hurt but it made him a bit of a joke to the announcers
  21. Good thing we still have Khalil Mack’s name associated w UB . Can’t believe the Football program got shut out in the 2019 draft. Would’ve also been nice to use that achievement for future recruiting.
  22. Glad he signed w the Bills and we can keep an eye on him. That will be cool. I thought AJ would fill the bigger need for the Bills. That surprises me to see them take a pass... at least for now
  23. I dunno. He was pretty hyped up this past season and his stock was high. He worked w some really good receivers. The UB offense was going to be a bit thin/new at WR going into 2019. He would’ve had to transfer somewhere else and learn a new offense, get comfortable, etc.. I can see why he declared early. It just didn’t work out in the draft. He can still rise up if he has NFL talent.
  24. Not surprised Tyree has dropped this far. I am surprised AJ wasn’t picked before the 5th rd.
  25. Yup. Oats will improve Alabama, but unlike his time in the MAC he will not be able to out-recruit the other big time SEC programs. He's not going to simply get better athletes. Kentucky, LSU, Florida, Auburn, etc.. will all have athletes as good if not better.
