I really hope this tournament puts the rest all the disappointment that UB isn’t as good under Whitesell as we were with Oats. He’s out here looking like the only real competition to Gonzaga. If anyone really expected us to maintain that level when he left, they’re delusional. Oats is too good for a mid major. We were lucky we had him when we did.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Ohio ends up ranked at some point next year the way UB did a couple years ago. Team plays hard

Is Malik Zachery still part of the team? I haven’t heard anything about him or his case in awhile, was really hoping to see him play this year at some point.

Lance definitely turned the team and culture around in Buffalo, but was never good at winning the big games. We beat a mediocre Charlotte team last year in their first bowl game. If he does leave for Illinois, then thank you for the memories, but I’m ready for something better.

After giving it a few minutes, I’ve realized that we’re two fluke plays from a tie game, Patterson and Marks can go off for big runs at any time, and KVT has been playing his best ever, this game is not over and still well within reach. Just need the defense to get some stops and we’re right back in it!

I feel like Buffalo matches up pretty well athletically so I think it’ll come down to hitting 3’s, and coaching. Maybe the team plays with more energy with a coach by committee plan like they did against Miami. It’ll be interesting to see what happens if UB does by chance win against Syracuse, and then how the team plays once Whitesell comes back.

Not gonna lie, I wouldn’t be too upset if he transfers... he never steps up in the games we need him to and if he does have a high scoring game its with a low shooting %. I’m ready for Williams, Segu, and Mballa to be our go to scorers

Maybe it is just another offer, but It’s still an offer from a good P5 school. Most players would take that offer over Buffalo any day. Again look at the Hawkins situation. P5 school makes a last minute offer, kid doesn’t do his due diligence, goes, but doesn’t play, transfers a year later. I hope I’m wrong! Just a gut feeling though

I swear players trim their list down to their final whatever, then make their announcement date two weeks away practically begging another team to make an offer before then. If he really wanted to commit to Buffalo he would have done so right away. Why wait?

I have a feeling this is going to be another Alabama/Hawkins situation. UCF isn’t some bottom feeder P5 team like the other two. This could definitely be where he ends up now

It’s good to see players trying to recruit him. Lately I’ve had the feeling he’s going to Cal but who knows. He definitely has the potential to be a starter here which would be great
