  1. Summer has been on the bench in sweats. Not sure about Christie.
  2. The latter seems most accurate for many here. 1 game doesn't mean a season, but this was a very good one. I hope to see more of these over the next 5-6 weeks. If they do, they can win the league. Getting production from Hardnett last game and skogman/fagan today can make this team very dangerous. Can't win with just 4 guys, but if they get the 5-9 guys playing well, look out!
  3. If we were at full strength, I'd agree. It's been tough without summer, christie and mcevans. Taking away 3 strong parts makes things challenging, and with the short non league season, it may hurt the MAC (hopefully not).
  4. Played awful for 34 minutes, played lights out for 5min30sec, then nada in final 30 sec. Heck of a comeback, but all for naught.
  5. Whoever these guys are in the white jerseys, I hope they stick around all season long!
  6. I'm sure he tells the players not to practice them. He probably tells them to not play D and turn the ball over too. "C'mon man". If I recall, this was something that'd be complained about with prior coaches too.
  7. "Fear"? Not a strong enough word. Need something more along the lines of "pigs" and "flying".
  8. Gotta love the guy 30 feet from the basket calling the goaltending (that wasn't), then Mr Clean blowing a 30 sec violation when we have possession and a 3 on 0. Great job guys. Enjoy your $2k for the game.
  9. This ref crew blows (this crew always does). They just took away 2 baskets with pathetic calls.
  10. I'd love to see (maybe I wouldn't cuz I'd cry) what our % is inside 5 foot shots.
  11. It's so much not like "Nate ball". Watching so many 15-18 foot shots. That would never be allowed in his team.
  12. In the first 8.5 minutes, we're not really hitting on any of these. No wonder we're down big already.
  13. I'm waiting until the game starts before I get excited. Last time I was excited 45 minutes before a game, my hopes were swiftly dashed. Must win, if there is such a thing anymore. It's been over a week since they've played, at home, need to take care of business. I'm hopeful. Gotta play D, crash the boards, not turn over the ball, and hit some shots (and maybe make FTs?). Sounds reasonable, right?
  14. Yes, they look like 2 totally different teams (recent vs early season). They look like the 32-4 UB team when playing at their best, making extra passes and playing tough D/rebounding. Put that methodology together with top notch talent and it's a dangerous combination.
  15. I would've absolutely thought that (not patting myself on the back or anything). Nate is different. He's an animal out there. He's very analytical as well. Great combo. I was most worried that the "big time" players wouldn't buy in to the high school/ hard hat mentality, the extra pass, everyone eats style (as opposed to the "i gotta get mine"). Very happy for him, well deserved.
  16. Not surprising about either one. One of them has always been an incredible coach and one of the best in the country. The other is a big name, was an amazing player, but isn't at the level of a coach as the first. I'm very happy for Nate, he's very good at what he does. I hope that Bobby can get the team back in order and right the ship. Both guys raised the bar and brought a lot of joy to the UB fan base, and are great people as well.
  17. More like the Kentucky of the southeast! Bye bye Calipari. I'll enjoy every minute of Nate owning him consistently.
  18. If offered, he, much like Nate, should jump on it. I'll believe it when I see it.
  19. Yeah, because the stadium is so packed as it is stands right now. Let's take away the track from the sport that makes up 6/16ths of the athletics teams and add thousands of more seats at a major cost, while the existing seats sit mostly empty.
  20. Good win. I only saw bits and pieces while trying to get work done, but it was a nice result anyhow. It stinks that there's no game on Saturday, could've used that one. It will jumble up the schedule later on I'd imagine. Hopefully something to build upon.
  21. I agree that coach jack is fantastic, but just was saying it with some sarcasm, after reading all of the other posts from the previous day. It's tiresome that "fire x" is stated so frequently.
  22. This team is so streaky, just like the men. It's so odd. They look so great at times, and so awful at others. It surely would be nice to have Summer back, healthy.
  23. Yep, but I don't see the "FireJack" and non-stop coaching criticism posts, after an essentially mirrored game (and rightfully so).
