  1. Anyone familiar enough with WBB to know how the other MAC programs - Toledo, Ball St, Kent - have faired?
  2. For someone like Hattie, I would think it has more to do with wanting to be re-recruited and see what your market is rather than unhappiness.
  3. Hearing some rumors Toledo is chasing Adams and offering him a bag. Will be interesting to see where he ends up.
  4. Again, any player can transfer infinity times without having to sit out. Graduate or not.
  5. I’d settle for a non-conference win to start 😂
  6. Lots of our peers and programs with less resources but better teams than us this past year in the same boat. Bowling Green won 20 games with a brand new coach. Think they’re handing out stacks of cash?
  7. Almost all schools in the G5 down through FCS and Division 2 and 3 are in the same boat. Politicians won’t let that happen and the resulting Title 9 implications. Most student athletes don’t even want to be employees. Let’s just see where it goes.
  8. Toledo dodges another bullet and keeps Kowalczyk. Our old target Calhoun from Youngstown State gets the job out west.
  9. Only restriction upheld was they can’t transfer in-season and be eligible immediately.
  10. Toledo never loses coaches and always seems to win. Would be nice for them to see how the rest of us deal when their coach leaves and their whole team transfers.
  11. Any player can transfer at any time now.
  12. This seems more like a convenient excuse to remove someone rather than an actual reason.
  13. Yes. I believe they’re all open.
  14. Also a cautionary tale that now 2 good players leave for greener pastures, find out it’s not so green, then return.
  15. Patience. The portal doesn’t close until May. Relax.
  16. Their Blue A collective is substantial and has many former athletes playing a role like Jordan Love. Their HC was also a successful former HC at Montana State prior to his job now, not a rookie. He’s also making $900k, more than twice what Halcovage III is making. Not an excuse as this year was an abomination, but the Utah State coach is more the exception than the rule, he did kill it this year and it’s an open secret he’s headed to Washington after this season ends. As a university they also seem to prioritize athletics as their “front porch”. SUNY clearly does not.
  17. Assuming he is a junior with 2 years of eligibility?
  18. Is this definitely a commit?
  19. Fired after just 2 years at SMU. Won 10 games last year and 20 this year. Lost to Indiana State in first round of NIT.
  20. NCAA already announced no restrictions on transferring unless a court overturns it. But anyone that transfers until that happens won’t be punished. So it’s open season.
  21. Doesn’t guarantee it. But I’ll bet the teams in the Final Four or heck most teams in the second weekend have a strong NIL program.
  22. She has another year. After they beat Toledo she said in the press conference she’d be back next year (which we’ll see if that’s the case).
  23. Kind of pathetic there are sub .500 teams playing.
