QB play was plain terrible. You live and die by the QB and we died. OL did us no favors. I thought pass blocking was ok, run blocking was horrific. Especially 3rd/4th and short.

Good to see the team take a step forward.

So is every other department on campus and 95% of division 1 departments. UConn gets bailed out to the tune of $40+ million a year by campus.

I don’t read into anything on Cage’s IG post. We’re getting whooped on the recruiting trail bc of NIL and we have none to give. That’s all I read. Heard GH is putting some things in motion, though. This is painful, but hopefully brighter days ahead.

This is comical. It absolutely was an affordability issue, although Lance has never been one who wants the last nickel. He left for an insane paycheck but also his staff got significant raises obviously too. Also, it’s well documented Lance wanted a long term contract. The state only permits 5 years.

Comical to think UB tickets are anything but affordable. Pricing isn’t keeping people away.

I agree whole heartedly. But JMU has a robust collective paying their team. That is obviously very separate from our poor play calling and 2 minute drill offense (cough). What a mess.

Guys ran out of gas after being pressed all game. We gave up way too many easy buckets not getting back on defense. That was the difference in the game.

Why does Daemen always seemingly have a guy who goes off on us that we can’t get to transfer up?

Got there late from my grandson’s hockey game. But, I really liked the energy from the team and coaches. Didn’t feel like same old same old. Also, we grinded it out at the end, where I feel like the last few years we always wilted in pressure situations. Rebounding defensively was bad. Fulcher was much quicker and more athletic than I expected. Think he’ll be a solid PG. Adams and Chatman taking over in late 2nd half gives me some good feelings. Really liked Boldin, but seemed like a newborn fawn trying to stand up for the first time. Felt like he was all gas. End of the day, I feel like we’ll compete this year. To me, this is a different team in a good way.

Brother-in-law is a donor to the collective at Akron. I’m guessing On3 doesn’t have access to much of any deals with collectives as there is no transparency in that. Nobody has to report anything. All he’d share is there are 2 guys getting > 6 figures. What that means or how much he wouldn’t go into detail.

It’s all about pay for play now. Even small programs have collectives to pay the players. Sucks, but either we step up or we get used to it. Akron is paying multiple guys six figures.

This UB team crushes Fordham. But past is the past.

Coach Shawn Burke signed a multi year extension. He’s the first non revenue sport coach to get a multi year deal. He continues to produce. Volleyball looks like a good hire as well.

The Sidelines account is all over Twitter calling for firings. Mo has 3 years after this one on his contract. Unless you’re stepping up with a check to cover it, it’s a stupid go no where conversation. Not that it’s wrong.

Crazy how bad our defense has been when it’s mostly a veteran group.

And thus his $500k payout is offset by his amount of salary.
