  1. While this wasn't a fun game to watch, I think it will be good for our team. Call me crazy but I don't want to blow every team out by 30 points. It is good to have the team experience close games throughout the year. We will learn more from games like this than blowouts, also will help us keep us on our toes. That being said, I still would like to win big for a majority of the games.

  2. Our quality depth really helped tonight. Maybe we don't win that game last year...and definitely not two years ago. Gotta gut out some road games like this. We are going to take everyone's best shot. Remember...for many MAC teams we will be the highest ranked team that has played at their gym in a long time. Lots of excitement to try and beat the Bulls. Remember how excited we were when we stopped Kent's streak? Heck...fans may storm the court if they beat Buffalo at this point. That is what UB will face in every road arena...regardless of the opposing team's record. Gotta keep grinding... Go Bulls.

  3. Gotta win some ugly ones in the MAC but we have got to fix our defense.

  4. Any national exposure is good exposure. Plus games on CBSSN feature that lovely music you normally only hear in March. Gets me exciting for what's to come every time.

  5. TV Coverage: ESPNU Is it possible to have a "bounce back" game after a win? If so let's have one of those, defensively. EMU has scored 95 and 49 points in their last 2 MAC games so um... yea. GO BULLS

  6. So, we all know Harris has (yet again) turned it on big time for MAC play... see: But I don't think enough can be said about the play of Dontay Caruthers. He just plays so hard in every game. He doesn't always fill up the scoring but he has countless hustle plays and is, IMO, our best all around defender. He's also starting to stack up a reel of highlight dunks! In a lot of ways I think this team hinges on the intensity and grit that he brings night in and night out. BTW, he plays like this to save money 😅

  7. Here's hoping Dontay keeps his wallet intact.

  8. Agree with everything you say. Sadly, poor refereeing in the MAC is the rule and not the exception. And as bad as it is for the guys, it's even worse (believe out or not) for the gals. As for WMU's strategy, hack-a-Shaq might slow UB down, but the strength of our bench more often than not blunts that effort. Oats and Hurley before him (and to some extent Reggie) are credited with playing the bench as often as possible early in the NC season...WMU looked gassed the last 5 minutes...we didn't.

  9. It says G-League, summer invite (and not being drafted). My son and I were speaking about this recently and we both felt he would not be drafted, but would be someone who would get a summer invite (because of his profile). If he has a stellar next two months, I could see him sneaking into the end of the second round.

  10. I think the bar was set last week when we drew large crowds without the students. This is the 16th ranked team in the nation, we should now expect a sellout every home game. A Friday night game should draw the community in and once the students get back AA should be loud af!

  11. And that can happen. The Sabres and Bills tickets are out of the reach of many typical WNYers. That's where UB comes in. High quality play at family friendly prices. I really believe that's a niche to be exploited.

  12. You might have forgotten Oklahoma...you know the guys with back to back to back to back Big XII Championships; three CFP games in the last four years; back to back Heismans... QB U....

  13. Could not agree more. Teams that can't run with us are going to try to make it ugly. Plus we all know how great MAC refs are. And just imagine when we take on Kent St. We all know they like to play bully ball. So it wasn't pretty, def not our best game and effort but it was a conference win on the road. And yes our defense wasn't spectacular but in all we made enough plays to win. Our schedule gets jammed packed for the next few weeks so our health and depth will be tested. 2 positives: 1) Free throw shooting was the difference in this game. 2) The freshman were given clutch minutes and they played well in them. Love to see Williams attacking the rim without hesitation. When he reacts you can see the talent.

  14. Revenue has not been capped. Demand has outgrown Supply, and the prices can be increased. While, not incurring new Rent fees.

  15. Hi. Just want to add that Research universities are ranked as R1, "Highest Research Activity", or R2, "Higher Research Activity", by the Carnegie Classification of Institutions of Higher Learning. Agree that Ohio U is a large school, but is in a different category of research activity than UB. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_research_universities_in_the_United_States
