BrooklynBull
Turner Gill retired from coaching at Liberty University earlier this week, The retirement was because of issues with his wife's health. https://www.roanoke.com/sports/liberty-football-coach-turner-gill-abruptly-retires/article_aa74d14a-68ff-5b28-8ada-17e0a32db72d.html

ChubbyHubby
Here's a link to a presser he did a day or 2 after the announcement. He cleared some things up regarding his wife. You can see how much it hurts, but it's clear why he's good with his decision. He's an amazing man. http://www.liberty.edu/flames/index.cfm?PID=36963&newsID=21132&teamID=
bull_trojan
Once we get into the statue business, he deserves one, despite only 4 years.
weareub46
Dang that's sad. Hoping the best for his wife. Was really looking forward to us playing against him. Looks like Liberty is on the schedule for next year.
xDerekRx
Always appreciated what he did here for us. Liked meeting him a couple times as well. Hope all works out for him
admin
Hope his wife gets better. He'll always be welcomed at Buffalo for that initial step forward. That first step might be the hardest. Bobby Hurley did the same for UB.

I don't know how may times I went to basketball games and came away somewhat embarrassed by Hurley's whiney antics. Don't get me wrong, he was a winner, and he brought in the guy that has us winning consistently, but...Bobby Hurley couldn't carry Turner Gill's sandals. Hokie200proof
Hard to oversell his contribution to the program. Hope his wife can recover and he can eventually return to coaching.
UB92
Statue of Turner Gill? Yes. 100%. At an appropriate time, invite him back to campus and unveil the statue. It is hard to oversell his importance to UB athletics and UB football.
