  1. ADDW did many good things. If only he didn't have the personality of a doorknob.
  2. I didn't realize Rich Jacob was a UB Alum. He was on the NCCC basketball team that went to the Juco finals in 1977. He was also a teammate of mine on the Ntrip baseball team. His bio doesn't list UB. Looking forward to seeing him work.
  3. Bigger question is... Can we get him to make a sizeable donation to UB.
  4. I agree with that. Looking forward to a good season.
  5. There was one O-Lineman that was getting manhandled on nearly every passing down after the first quarter.
  6. Sounds to me like that would be more lines on the football field.
  7. You missed the part about athletics being more important than academics. That should be Tripathi's priority, along with a new stadium on the waterfront.
  8. What an environment! There were traditions at UW that UB should strive to work towards. Tailgating was all around the stadium, but there was also an area (Union South, for the Badger Bash) that was packed. They had a few different D.J.'s One just playing music, the other actually had a stage where they talked with former players, had dance parties, a few competitions... The band came in and played the UB fight song amoung other songs. Maybe the best tailgate atmoshphere I've ever seen. In this area you weren't allowed to bring in drinks or food. The lines for all vendors were no less than 50' long. For the game, it was crazy hot. UW did announce a day or 2 in advance that fans would be able to bring in 2 sealed bottle of water each into the game. Nice call there. Much needed. UW band is outstandiing. "Jump around" was very cool. The stadium was shaking. The hometown fans were very hospitable. Many greeted us with, "Welcome to Wisconsin", which was quite funny considering that 7 of the 9 that we were with actually live in Wisconsin. My wife grew up there and we were with her family. I agree with the other posters about the game. It was a David vs. Goliath scenario, and while David didn't win this time, he held his own against the giant. Speaking of David, he isn't as small as he used to be compared to Goliath. I remember seeing our players next to UCONN at an event the day before the International bowl. The size difference seemed tremendous. For the most part, our guys looked as big as theirs. The UW fan next to me kept talking about the height of our receivers and tight ends. I'll leave the game review up to those that watched it and were able to see replays. Suffice it to say, I came away quite impressed with the way our guys played. I do wonder what call Bluebird96 was talking about being questionable against Wallace. The one that sticks out in my mind is the one where Wallace pancaked a guy 10 yards downfield, well after the whistle. No question there.
  9. Go to "Football Recruiting" on this site. Scroll down to the Pilarcek's thread and read his "Personal Statement". Didn't age well.
  10. I honestly don't care either. I find "of" to be the norm for most other schools. It was just something that I noticed.
  11. And pretty much all of them using "of Buffalo" instead of "at Buffalo"
  12. I was surprised to see a former Buffalo Bill being offered a scholly at UB? Wonder what number he'd wear. 82 isn't allowed.
  13. Can someone post pictures for those of us that can't get on twitter at work, please?
  14. Do we know that the Recruiting Coordinator wasn't the one that actually fudged the documents? There's a difference between taking the fall, and going down because you actually did the dirty deed.
  15. One on offense, one on defense? 😁
  16. Fuqua walked at Commencement this past weekend. Good to see our athletes getting a degree.
  17. 2 way, maybe? Did he play football in High School?
  18. I meant nothing was said on any of our threads. I wouldn't expect UB to say anything.
  19. What ever happened with Ronnie Nwora? She was on the roster but not with the team because of personal reasons. Nothing was ever said when her name no longer appeared on the roster. She walked at graduation yesterday.
