  1. UB women’s absolutely throttling Canisius 42-15 in the first half. This might be one of their most talented rosters ever. So many options for them.
  2. Michigan head coach Juwan Howard talking the matchup with Buffalo.
  3. the shooting guard depth on Rhode Island is pretty much up for grabs. If he feels like he’s game ready for next year and he develops well, I won’t be surprised if he ends up there. RI has some good players. However, the 2-3 spot next is also pretty much for the taking on our roster for 2022 and there is room for minutes for him if he were to be game ready. Let’s hope he picks us.
  4. I just noticed I have the big 10 network on spectrum. FYI to people in WNY that have spectrum and are wondering what channel, 382.
  5. Even though it’s just an exhibition game, I think we settle for too many 3’s. I’m not opposed to firing them when you get good looks. But that’s not a way to make a living. Mid range and close range jumpers and finishing at the rim need to be a priority. We got so many guys on this team that can shoot the 3, but I don’t think we should be living and dying by it.
  6. 1/3 of the arena filled to watch Buffalo throttle Medaille? That’s kind of cool.
  7. Blocker was a bit off tonight but man that dude is athletic as f***
  8. Free throw shooting at 75%. A nice sight to see. I mentioned in the summer that free throw shooting should be a massive improvement and it’s showing here so far. I can see UB nearing top 20 in FT’s this season.
  9. What I would like to see, we as a team scoring more points than the opposing team, every game.
  10. We’ll do or say anything to get you to shush.
  11. Im gonna be honest, if that’s true about Harding, then are further ahead than expected. I did not think he was gonna be ready for this season, but if he is? We have a bit of a stacked front court. Same goes for Jones. He was a standout last year in JUCO and if he can provide meaningful bench minutes, then we are looking at a deeper guard depth than expected. This is definitely the year which Skogman needs to show us something. Third year with the team, and it’s that time where he should start providing meaningful minutes. An athletic big guy who can do just about anything at his size.
  12. Problem is, for so long, UB was just mediocre in basketball. The Lack of a good product for so long creates a void. Yeah we’ve been a good program for probably 8 years now. It’s going to take time and constant consistent success for basketball, and even football to become popular. All of us here commenting are responsible too. We and every UB alumni has got to attend games and show our support, I make it a priority to attend games in person as much as possible every year. If you’re able to go, then go. Buy merchandise that supports athletics. Become a donor. So many options that we as individuals can do to get the program to grow. It’s gonna take some time though. As long as the athletics is good, then little by little the programs should grow. As far as non alumni fans go? Constant success is the only way to attract fans for basketball. Then when you create a fan out of someone they want the team to be successful and to be a great product and you have to maintain maintain maintain a good product. We as fans too have to maintain standards that we are better than pre Hurley era and we should expect MAC championship games yearly and should get back to the tournament.
  13. I would check with the UB ticket office. I think they are gonna be all on sale through Ticketmaster.
  14. I like the schedule as well, I just wish we could have added some more.
  15. I can confirm it’s available for apple users
  16. Gotta print screen that or use the snipping tool, nobody can read that man.
  17. Are we sure we aren’t among the worst in the MAC?
  18. I have Williams, Mballa, Segu, Hardnett around 58 PPG combined. PPG team wise will probably be similar. Rebounds per game might drop just slightly (we were #1 in the nation in RPG). But I see up being somewhere top 20. The biggest expected increase is probably free throw average. I expect them to be ballpark 75% as a team this season. I previously covered it and they brought in some fantastic free throw shooters (Jack, Perry, Jones).
  19. Wasatch Academy is up there as one of the best basketball schools. Tough to get playing time but he did. I think a year of JUCO is going to do him some good. Hopefully we stay on him, he’s got a ton of potential.
  20. Just gotta remind ourselves that we are one of the worst teams in the MAC. Embrace it, and hope for a brighter future.
