  1. It's possible Oats may have told him to maybe consider Buffalo as he would have an opportunity to get some minutes on a team that just won 20 games with one true forward active. Never know.
  2. I wasn’t buying the staying close to home BS, but for him to go to WMU? Yikes. Something not right in that situation. Don’t be surprised if he doesn’t get many minutes the first couple years and winds up transferring.
  3. Me thinks 2 of them get dismissed from the program.
  4. Christ.....call me crazy but I think 18 games was enough. Add 3 more games that you basically have to win the in the conference tournament to get an auto bid since an at large in the MAC never happens. To tack on more games seems a bit more taxing on teams in the 5 month schedule.
  5. They weren’t rumors, they were merely guesses and speculations. Primary because Bertram is a grad senior now who I would have assumed would probably go home since Bertram has not been up to snuff. At all. And I’m not so sure Fagan will leave because he has a big opportunity to get some big minutes if he actually plays well.
  6. I would say we all did because he pretty much hit his ceiling with BG and to play one year at a major school is something I think he should have done to challenge and prove how good he is. But, Awh well.
  7. Disappearing in the murky, low mid major waters. Farewell, Andre.
  8. Yup, the losers at UB compliance all the time loves to stick their nose in everything, even though people in twitter aren’t breaking any rules.
  9. Another scholarship that can filled by a better player who has more eligibility. No more Antwain Johnson’s please.
  10. Yes we did, the guy was another Grant in the making.
  11. this means we can use the scholarship on a player that has more than one year of eligibility.
  12. Stars don’t mean anything. Get off the rankings train.
  13. Oh my lord the suspense is just eating me up inside! I hope we make a top 2! Or top 1!
  14. Always a spectacle every time there a list trim. He’s not a good player. Very Gabe Grant like. Hard pass and a waste of a scholarship.
  15. Calipari is one of the greats though. The reason being, he gets the best out of his players, much like coach K. If Cal coached here last season, I can probably bet you that we wouldn’t have dropped a few stinkers the way we did. I think Whitesell is pretty good though. I just question the game plan at times, but I can give him the benefit of the doubt because it was his first year, lots of new faces. But I don’t really see him significantly declining unless he can’t retain players.
  16. Loyalty in recruiting died many many years ago.
  17. Lol, it didn’t matter what they said for a reason, we all know why they left, Nate Oats was gone and so were they.
  18. His stats are pretty awful through 2 years. You never know, but I’m hesitant on this one
  19. I would say UB is prob the best team on that list. Cal and Ole Miss have nothing too much going for them. Would be a nice get.
  20. Kassius Robertson played for Canisius and went to Missouri, 20 win team, 8 seed in the tournament. 2017-2018 season.
  21. Not that RI is that much better than UB. I agree with @Jeseph though, move on and look elsewhere with someone who has more eligibility.
  22. I wish people in general would stop looking at rankings and how many stars a player has. That’s so irrelevant by the time practice begins and when games come around. We see it every year, 3, 4, 5 star guys who have trouble adjusting to D-1 basketball. It’s often times those 2 star players who rise up in mid major basketball and perform the best.
  23. Do we use a scholarship on another veteran guard with one year of eligibility left, or do we look someone else to fill it. After waiting so much time to see Antwain Johnson underperform, I’m not so sure it’s worth it. But, we need guards, bad.
