Just win. Getting to Cleveland with this squad amidst a bumpy start to her tenure here at UB would be a great accomplishment. Would be great for team moral and building. Great for recruiting. Would kinda stabilize things moving forward.

I think with intros, especially at bigger schools, it’s become all theatrical. In Alabama’s case the lights were off, there was l-e-d-s and smoke. A lot going on. Easy for fans to not care, or lose sight of what’s going on or not even be in their seats. It’s more for the students. I love when the opposing team is introduced and the student sections chants “who” after a player is announced. Or they bring newspapers and pretend to read the paper as players are being intro’d. Or flat out turn their backs. Fun stuff. But def a pat down was tone def. And shouldn’t be done ever. Shannon Sharpe made some great points regarding it

What has hurt us and will continually hurt us is that we play in the MAC east. Which usually means playing Akron, Ohio and Kent twice a season. They are usually at the top of the conference pack. And this year we played Toledo twice. As we all know, under Whitesell our record versus those teams is atrocious. The regression of this team as the season has evolved is scary. That falls squarely on the coach.

To be fair to Oats, he said he handled it after the game. Brought it up in the presser before anyone could ask. Also said that he was unaware this was being done all year. To me this falls more on the player for being tone deaf.

Not a MAC game but did anyone just see the ASU Arizona finish? Half court buzzer beater nothing but net for ASU. May have just gotten them to the dance with that shot.

Until further notice Jones shouldn’t be referred to as CuJo. While it is an awesome nickname he simple comes up small in big games.

What’s today’s excuse? Toledo shooting on bigger rims? This is pathetic. I understand we were/are a younger team compared to season’s past. I understand we need to grow and get familiar with one another bc this was a batch of new players but this team has regressed as the season has gone on.

Idk what everyone sees in our defense. It isn’t great. Nor is it lockdown. And lately it has been very bad. Forget numbers and metrics…what are your eyes telling you? My eyes tell me we don’t play complementary basketball. Our wild turnover prone offense leaves our defense vulnerable. We’ve been out rebounded a lot lately. Defense can’t make stops. And Jones disappears in big games. Everyone says, “Oh this team was just lights out against us.” Ask yourself this, is it a lucky day or just bad defense by the bulls? #Frustrated

Nate, Miller and Alabama with a big F U win tonight lol.

I kinda disagree. Right now if the season ended our path would be Ball St then Kent state. Given we beat ball state and lost somewhat close games to Kent I rather that path then Toledo right off the bat. Idk, you’re right in the sense that confidence regardless who we play is low. But playing Ball to open gives a glimmer of hope.

Oh I’m not saying that game will be a win. That court is a nightmare. Literally, from the way it looks to our nightmare loses there. But that’s a must win game.

Beat NIU and Miami and we should be the 6 seed. As mentioned in the other thread, the game at NIU will likely determine the 6/7 seed. I don’t think we will beat Toledo. But hey maybe they are prime for a letdown after tonight’s blowout win.

I mean how dumb can you be? As players. Especially one who is a lottery pick. As a coach to say what he said. And in saying what he said showed where his priorities are. And also that he doesn’t care to know what his players might be doing when off the court.

Just read up on the case, both sides are claiming self defense lol. Yet all the evidence points to Miles and Davis fully knowing and intending to use the gun. To at the very least intimidate. But I agree…if you own a gun and that gun is used to kill someone, you should face a charge. Both Miles and Miller should face charges. Miles is. Miller brought the gun…makes no sense why he isn’t being charged as well. Think about this…the gun went through two people before it ended up in the hands of the shooter. Crazy.
